Total tourism revenue in 2024 increased by 10.8%

Tourist arrivals to increase by 14% in 2024

Along with many cultural and tourism programs and events effectively organized at tourist destinations, it has contributed significantly to promoting Vinh Phuc tourism to domestic and international friends, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and experience Vinh Phuc.

“In 2024, the tourism industry of Vinh Phuc province continued to achieve impressive results, the locality welcomed 10.6 million visitors, an increase of 14% over the previous year and reaching 100% of the annual plan. The number of international visitors is estimated at about 90,000 (mainly from Japan and Korea); the remaining number is domestic visitors, estimated at more than 10.5 million; bringing in total revenue of about 4,000 billion VND, an increase of 10.8% over the same period in 2023 and reaching 100% of the annual plan.” – Mr. Do Hoang Duong said.

According to statistics up to November 30, Vinh Phuc province has 570 tourist accommodation establishments, providing jobs for about 8,620 people. Of which, there are 4 5-star hotels, 2 4-star hotels, 9 3-star hotels, 44 2-star hotels, 15 1-star hotels and 496 accommodation establishments that meet national standards for tourist motels and houses with rooms for tourists to rent.

Accommodation facilities have increased maintenance and repair of equipment, and service quality at accommodation facilities has improved compared to previous years, initially bringing satisfaction to visitors.

Striving to welcome 12 million tourists in 2025

In addition to the positive results achieved in 2024, Vinh Phuc tourism industry in general still has limitations: there are not many high-quality products and services, especially 4-5 star accommodation facilities; lack of entertainment and shopping services; souvenirs and gifts are still monotonous, not bearing the characteristics and unique marks of the province... The management and protection of heritage and tourism resources in some localities is still not strict.

Tourism activities are still seasonal, so they have not attracted high-quality workers. Some tourism service businesses have not paid attention to training and improving the professional qualifications of managers and workers.

By 2025, Vinh Phuc province's tourism industry strives to welcome over 12 million visitors; tourism revenue is estimated to reach over VND4,500 billion. To achieve this goal, Vinh Phuc has identified tasks and solutions to promote tourism development.

Specifically, focus on specific products such as tourism combined with golf sports; tourism combined with conferences and seminars; cultural exploration tourism; eco-tourism, and adventure tourism; enhance the exploitation of tourism potential in typical areas, especially the communes at the foot of Tam Dao mountain, and the cultural heritage sites of the province.

Promoting the application of information technology in destination management, supporting tourists and improving service quality; building a digital ecosystem to serve customers and businesses. Orienting green development in tourism business models, Vinh Phuc continues to integrate environmental protection and climate change adaptation factors into tourism development planning and plans.

Strengthening tourism promotion and advertising, focusing on potential domestic and international markets, strengthening cooperation with international and regional organizations. At the same time, focusing on training human resources in the tourism industry in a professional direction, knowledgeable about culture and history, and having foreign language skills.
