Many achievements in the fight against "internal invaders"

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's anti-corruption campaign is fully reflected in the work "Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong" (National Political Publishing House, 2023). Through the articles published in this work, the General Secretary systematically presented the urgent need to resolutely fight against corruption and negativity to build our Party and State in the current period.

Our country has achieved remarkable achievements in the fight against corruption in recent years. The Government and relevant agencies have implemented many strong and drastic measures to combat this "disease", contributing to building a fair, clean and civilized society. Many major corruption cases have been exposed and strictly handled. Regulations on asset and income declaration have been tightened, creating favorable conditions for supervision. The legal system on preventing and combating negative corruption has been completed and synchronized, creating a solid legal framework for the fight. Channels for receiving denunciations have been expanded, encouraging people to participate in denouncing acts of corruption.

The guiding ideology of the General Secretary is that there are no forbidden zones, no exceptions, anyone who violates corruption and negativity must be brought to light. That spirit makes our anti-corruption campaign effective. We remember his thoughts: "I have said many times: without stopping, without stopping, we must truly clean up the Party and State apparatus, our entire political system, clean up our team. This is the decisive factor for all other work so that we can plug the loopholes, stop mean and despicable acts...".

The General Secretary has focused on strengthening the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the political system. He has implemented reforms to strengthen Party discipline and improve the efficiency of state agencies. It can be said that under his leadership, the anti-corruption campaign has been successfully implemented, policies have been introduced to improve transparency and accountability in state management, and bring confidence to the people.

In his eulogy for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President To Lam said: Throughout his life of revolutionary activities, the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system held a particularly important position for Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong. Creatively applying Ho Chi Minh's thought on Party building, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong deeply clarified the nature of the Party and the building of a ruling Party from the practice of renovation in Vietnam. Since then, he and the Central Executive Committee have planned and led the successful implementation of strategic policies on Party building and rectification; resolutely and persistently fighting against individualism, against ideological, moral and lifestyle degradation, against corruption and negativity in the Party. This is an extremely arduous and arduous fight against "internal invaders" that makes our Party increasingly clean and strong, affirming its pioneering role, mettle and intelligence, so that our Party can truly be "moral and civilized".

There is no measure like the people's heart, the legacy that the General Secretary left behind is extremely great and important to our country, especially in the current period. "Strengthening the fight against corruption and negativity", "Those who do not dare to do it should boldly stand aside and let others do it"... are statements by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and reality proves that he has left a deep mark in the fight against "internal invaders".

From the results of the work of preventing corruption and negativity over the past 10 years, he always emphasized one of the valuable lessons to further strengthen the mettle and confidence of the entire political system. That is, there must be high determination, great effort and the right method, cannot be subjective, hasty; cannot avoid, hold back, be satisfied, at the same time must be very persistent, restless, and relentless.

Need to spread "heritage of faith"

The General Secretary has made great efforts to build people's trust in the Party and the country's development. His role is very important in the 21st century, with outstanding contributions to fighting corruption, consolidating the political system, promoting international integration and strengthening social trust. It can be said that his leadership has had a profound and strong impact on the development and stability of our country at present as well as in the future.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong once said: "Human happiness is not only about having a lot of money, having a lot of possessions, eating well, dressing well, but also about being rich in spirit, living among love and compassion, justice and fairness."

The image of long lines of people lining up at night on the streets waiting to pay their respects and bid farewell to the General Secretary shows that he "forever belongs to the Fatherland and the people", "the General Secretary's legacy will live forever in Vietnamese history" as President To Lam read at the funeral service.

He was a great cultural figure, leaving a deep impression of the temperament and character of a noble cultural personality. These things are expressed simply and humbly in every word, every gesture, in daily morality and lifestyle. He once affirmed: “We need a society in which development is truly for people, not for profit that exploits and tramples on human dignity. We need economic development coupled with social progress and justice, not increasing the gap between rich and poor and social inequality”.

There is a legacy that he left behind, which is the belief in the leadership role of the Party, in the good values of the regime, the belief in the human values of life, and in the honor of human beings. That legacy of belief needs to be spread among our people. Belief in the Party and the regime will lead to the strength of the entire nation in the fight against poverty, against bad habits, towards a good, happy and prosperous society.
