Honoring humanistic creations

The 4th Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Awards 2025 attracted 292 entries in 7 fields: economic development, national defense - security, state management, communications, literature - arts, science - technology and creative startups. After the preliminary round and the assessment of the council of the fields, 65 products were proposed for awards, of which 9 works were nominated in the field of literature - arts, including: the play "Comrade", the architectural work "Landscape of Military Hospital 175", the dance "Phan Ngoc", the memoir "Following the Footprints of People", the play "Aspiration for Peace", the song "Continuing the Story of Peace", the dance "Signs of Time", the oil painting "High Road" and the photo book "Proud of Ho Chi Minh City".

The play "Comrade" (author Le Thu Hanh, directed by People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau - Quoc Thinh) is a work invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, won the gold prize at the first Ho Chi Minh City Theater Festival in 2024 and is preparing to participate in the Busan Theater Festival - Korea. The play reminds us of the profound meaning of "comrade" that at any time, we must unite to build a beautiful and prosperous Vietnam and maintain the qualities of a revolutionary soldier.

The dance "Phận Ngọc" (choreographed by Hà Thanh Hậu) is an artistic work that deeply depicts the cultural identity of the Southern region. With a youthful staging and profound music, "Phận Ngọc" is the voice of the artists who dance the ball in today's integrated life. The work was awarded the A prize at the 8th Ho Chi Minh City Open Dance Festival - 2024 organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Dance Artists Association.

The memoir "Following His Footsteps" by writer Trinh Quang Phu is also a remarkable work. The story is about the life and revolutionary journey of President Ho Chi Minh, divided into 5 chapters with important stages in the life of beloved Uncle Ho. This literary work is not only a work of historical value but also a way for the younger generation to better understand the sacrifice and dedication of President Ho Chi Minh to the revolutionary cause and the protection of national independence.

In addition to the 9 works in the field of literature and art mentioned above, a number of other notable works were proposed for awards in the remaining fields such as: "Ho Chi Minh City River Festival" (economic development field); "Flower Season Offering to Uncle Ho" Festival (state management field); "Pho Day 12-12" program, "Proud of the National Flag", "Lighting up the sea with fishermen" (media field); Thieng Lieng community tourism model (creative startup field)...

The award ceremony of the "4th Ho Chi Minh City Creativity Award 2025" will take place on April 25, at the City Theater.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Yen Chi, the Ho Chi Minh City Creativity Award will give new wings to literary and artistic works entering life.
