Honoring 80 years of People's Public Security Tradition through the 2025 Literature and Art Creation Camp

(PLVN) - On March 27, Quang Tri Provincial Police coordinated with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to organize the opening of the Literature and Arts Creation Camp with the theme "80 years of the People's Public Security Tradition and the heroic homeland of Quang Tri" in 2025, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force's (CAND) tradition day on August 19 (1945-2025).

The writing camp will run until May 10, 2025, with the final round and closing scheduled for July 15, 2025.

The creative camp on the theme “80 years of tradition of the People’s Public Security Forces and the heroic homeland of Quang Tri” attracted more than 100 artists and authors, inside and outside the People’s Public Security Forces, with diverse works that vividly, deeply and comprehensively reflect the role of the People’s Public Security Forces in general, and the Quang Tri Public Security Forces in particular. The works depict the task of protecting national security, fighting against crime, protecting the peaceful and happy life of the People, as well as contributing to economic, cultural and social development.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan, Head of the Provincial Police Department's Political Work Department, delivered the opening speech of the Writing Camp.

Through genres such as short stories, memoirs, notes, literary portraits, poetry, scripts, music, fine arts and photography, the authors will highlight typical examples of good people and good deeds in the work, combat and construction of the People's Public Security Forces as well as the movement of the entire people to protect national security in Quang Tri province.

The book evaluation and compilation board plans to select about 140 outstanding works to publish as books before June 30, 2025, and at the same time exhibit and promote widely.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, approved the Creative Camp Regulations.

The creative camp is not only an opportunity for professional and amateur writers to learn and collect documents about the People's Public Security Forces, but also a source of inspiration to create quality works of art, contributing to the propaganda on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' tradition on August 19 (1945-2025).
