On the morning of August 21, Hong Loan - daughter of the late artist Vu Linh posted an article on her personal page responding to recent family scandals.
Ms. Hong Loan spoke up about the information of defrauding money and cursing her father - Meritorious Artist Vu Linh.
Specifically, a clip went viral recording a conversation between the late artist Vu Linh and composer Van Tien. However, Ms. Loan said that the content was edited and did not reflect the truth.
In the video, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh mentioned the amount of 64 million VND given to Hong Loan to pay the pink book fee for the house at 5 Doan Thi Diem Street, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. The late artist said that his daughter deceived him because in reality, the paperwork was completely free.
Hong Loan explained that the money was given to Ms. Sau (artist Hong Nhung) and a friend to keep for paperwork. She affirmed that she did not keep a single penny.
Meritorious Artist Vu Luan and Binh Tinh - Vu Linh's two adopted children expressed their support for Hong Loan.
"Regarding the story about me stealing my father's money, while he was singing, he reported the money missing from the safe. The next day I went to the police station to ask for help in investigating. However, my father did not let the officers in to work. I was so sad that I asked my father to go live with my husband's family. My father misunderstood that I was spoiled and was sad.
If I stole money and did things like that, I wouldn't call the police to investigate and make things clear. And after my husband and I moved out, the thefts continued to happen," Hong Loan explained.
In addition, Hong Loan affirmed that the information that she cursed her father or his close friend was all fabricated. According to her, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh has never used social media. The information he knows is all heard from others, so it is not authentic.
