Early this morning, July 25, in their level 4 house, Mr. Nguyen Viet Mang and his wife, members of the Nguyen Viet clan in Thanh Ha ward (Hoi An), sat watching the entire live broadcast of the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Vietnam Television. Moved and moved, their eyes filled with tears as they watched the General Secretary's coffin, his family members, and delegations of Party, State, and Fatherland Front leaders pay their respects to the General Secretary.
In recent days, upon hearing the news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing, Mr. Mang expressed his infinite sorrow in the Zalo Family Council group. In his opinion, the General Secretary is a shining example, simple, close, modest, exemplary, intelligent, a great personality of the nation, leaving behind respect and good feelings in the hearts of every Vietnamese person and international friends.
Mr. Mang spent a lot of time updating the developments of each news report of the General Secretary's funeral. He and members of the Family Council shared many pictures and stories about the General Secretary's life, career, and even his simple family life, creating good feelings for the descendants. On the Nguyen Vietnam family's social networking site, information about the General Secretary is also constantly updated.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Mang wiped away his tears and said: “For me, this is a great loss for the country. I deeply mourn the exemplary, loyal General Secretary who devoted himself to the country until his last breath. Just the other day, I saw the General Secretary working with Russian President Putin, and now he has truly passed away...”.
As for Mr. Le Van Van, a party member in Truong Le block, Cam Chau ward (Hoi An), in the past few days he has been feeling sorry for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Mr. Van was moved: “These past few days, I have been in tears when I read the news and poems about the General Secretary. I feel grief, regret and sadness in my heart. Every day I wear dark clothes, black clothes. This morning, watching the State Funeral, I could not hold back my tears and wrote a poem for him. To me, the General Secretary is an example of wholehearted service to the Fatherland. I promise myself to do more good things for the community to be worthy of being a Party member.”
In recent days, life in Hoi An has become quiet. The city leaders have signed a document to stop all cultural and artistic activities, including those serving tourism and diplomacy.
