On the afternoon of November 24, Mr. Ho Van Tran, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Ka commune (Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam) confirmed the above information.

Before that, at around 4:00 p.m. on November 22, the mother of D.HTV (2 years old, Ca Dong ethnic group, residing in village 1, Tra Ka commune) went to the kitchen to boil water to bathe her child, but when she returned, she could not find the child.

According to local residents, before the child went missing, they saw him playing near the stream next to his house. V.'s family is poor and the victim was the first child.

"For the past two days, despite heavy rain and high risk of landslides, local shock troops have followed rivers and streams to search for the child. However, there is still no trace of him. We suspect that he was swept away by the water after falling into the stream," informed the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Ka commune.

In recent days, in Quang Nam, there has been prolonged heavy rain, causing landslides and traffic jams on some roads.

On November 24, more than 2,500 cubic meters of rock and soil from the positive slope at km80+000, on National Highway 40B through Tra Giac commune (Bac Tra My district) collapsed onto the roadbed, causing traffic congestion.

Landslides also occurred on National Highway 24C, passing through Tra Nu and Tra Giang communes (Bac Tra My). Currently, the road management unit has made efforts to repair and reopen this area.

On National Highway 14D through Nam Giang district, the road surface is damaged (potholes, mud), making it very difficult for vehicles to travel.
