Along with destinations, the application of digital technology in service management and business has recently been implemented by most tourism businesses in the province at different levels. In particular, focusing on investing in building websites, digitizing data, and doing business on digital platforms. Some travel agencies such as Lac Hong Travel, Le Gia Travel, VNPlus Travel, Huu Nghi tour, Long Hai Travel, Trust Viet Travel... have promoted the introduction and provision of online tours and services on social networking platforms, built brand identities and promoted customer access through online channels.

Nguyen Minh Hieu, CEO of Huu Nghi International Tourism Joint Stock Company (Thanh Hoa City), said: "In recent years, we have deployed digital technology in a series of ways, from customer care, product and service promotion to managing the company's general activities. For accommodation establishments, since using some management software such as ASM, KiotViet, Smile... has contributed to improving management efficiency, strictly controlling all stages, reducing human resources and improving the quality of customer service. In particular, ASM software is being applied by many accommodation service businesses, with 4 main functions including: managing accommodation establishments; managing guests staying at the establishment; managing provided services; managing staff through the process from receiving guests to checking out.

The conveniences in applying digital technology have brought many benefits to both tourists as well as localities and tourism businesses. Therefore, Thanh Hoa province is continuing to carry out tasks under the project "Building an electronic information portal on tourism and smart tourism applications on mobile devices in Thanh Hoa province"; implementing the project to maintain the operation of the information system and database for managing tourism activities in Thanh Hoa province in 2024. At the same time, there are appropriate mechanisms and policies to support digital transformation in a number of key businesses and tourist areas, with priority contents such as developing digital infrastructure, smart management digital platforms, digital transformation training... to promote synchronous digital transformation in the tourism sector.
