Delegates attending the Standing Committee meeting of the Provincial People's Council in February 2024.

The meeting reviewed and commented on the following contents: Report on the results of implementing tasks in February, key tasks in March 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; plan to monitor the results of implementing resolutions, conclusions, and recommendations for supervision of the People's Council, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Council Committees in 2023; Outline for monitoring "Implementation of land allocation, forest allocation, issuance of forest land use right certificates; payment for forest environmental services in the period 2019 - 2023 in Dien Bien province".

Delegates attending the meeting highly agreed with the report on the results of implementing tasks in February and the key tasks in March 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council. Regarding the plan to monitor the results of implementing resolutions, conclusions, and recommendations for monitoring, some opinions suggested adjusting the monitoring plan time.

Comrade Pham Duc Toan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, gave his opinion at the meeting.

Regarding the content of "monitoring the implementation of land allocation, forest allocation, granting of forest land use right certificates; payment for forest environmental services in the period of 2019 - 2023, in Dien Bien province", after listening to the representative of the Economic - Budget Committee approve the monitoring outline, delegates focused on giving opinions on a number of contents: Correcting the name of the reporting period, showing according to a specific plan; adding a separate report on land allocation, forest allocation, granting of land use right certificates for rubber land areas. For areas of land that have not been allocated, it is necessary to clearly indicate the existing limitations and causes so that there is a basis for recommendations that are close to reality.
