On the afternoon of June 24, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen in coordination with Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted (Phu Yen) held a ceremony to honor and reward student Vo Minh Dang (grade 12 specializing in physics) for his achievement of winning a silver medal at the European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) in 2023.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen province awarded a certificate of merit and a bonus of 30 million VND to honor and recognize the efforts in studying of student Vo Minh Dang over the past time.

At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Khac Le, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen province, expressed the pride of the province's education sector. In addition to the efforts of student Vo Minh Dang, there are the efforts, support and training of the teaching staff of Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted.
Mr. Le thanked Dang for his training and efforts and hoped that future generations of students would follow in their seniors' footsteps and bring high achievements to the province.
The 2023 European Physics Olympiad will take place from June 16 to June 20, co-organized by Leibniz University (Hannover, Germany) and the Leibniz Institute for Mathematics and Science Education. This year's competition will be attended by 28 European countries, 10 guest countries with 176 contestants.
Vietnamese student Vo Minh Dang won a silver medal, ranking 32nd out of 176 contestants.
