According to experts' analysis, in the agricultural production process, people use a lot of chemicals, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, plant protection drugs, veterinary drugs... causing serious impacts, polluting the land, water sources and creating agricultural products of uncertain quality. Therefore, in order to create quality agricultural products, suitable for consumers' tastes, cooperatives, enterprises and people in the province have built hundreds of safe agricultural production models, applying environmentally friendly measures. Typical examples include the rice - fish model in Ha Trung district meeting VietGAP standards with an area of 200 hectares; the rice - crab model in Quang Xuong and Nong Cong districts with an area of 13 hectares; organic grapefruit in Yen Dinh district, organic vegetables in Dong Son district...
As one of the agricultural production models with high economic efficiency in Xuan Du commune (Nhu Thanh), TS Farm of Mr. Hoang Van Tuan in village 14 has strictly applied environmentally friendly production measures to create high-quality products. It is known that since January 2022, after researching the market and accumulating experience in developing safe agricultural production, his family decided to bring Korean milk grapes to plant on an area of more than 1 hectare. For high-efficiency production, the farm has been installed with a greenhouse system, drip irrigation and applied care measures, pest control in the direction of "following nature", respecting the garden ecosystem and not using pesticides, chemical fertilizers...
Mr. Tuan said: “Green production, natural production is one of the environmental protection solutions widely used in modern agricultural production. Applying safe production not only saves production costs, improves product quality and price compared to similar mass-produced products, but also protects the health of direct producers and creates a sustainable agricultural ecosystem.”
With the orientation of environmental protection production, after more than 2 years of development, Mr. Tuan's TS Farm now has about 2 hectares of grapes, yielding more than 3 tons/crop. With the selling price from 200-450 thousand VND/kg depending on the type, the revenue can reach 2 billion VND/year.
Having developed a pig farm for more than 10 years, Mr. Ngo Van Lam in Thieu Thanh commune (Thieu Hoa) has always focused on environmental protection. However, after expanding the scale of farming to 1,000 pigs/batch, and the farm's waste treatment system has degraded due to being built a long time ago, his family's farm has affected the environment. After discovering the incident, the family took measures such as building additional settling pits and renovating the biogas tank to match the scale of farming...
Mr. Lam said: "Currently, the quality and value of agricultural production are not only measured by productivity and output, but are also evaluated by the production process and environmental friendliness. Therefore, in order for livestock products to meet the best standards, my family not only uses fermented mixed feed and drinks filtered water according to standards, but also ensures hygiene in the feed troughs, drinking fountains, and barn floors. In addition, livestock waste is collected and sent to a manure separation tank, the water is filtered through an ecological pond; the residue is used as organic fertilizer. Another part of livestock waste is also transferred to a liquid biogas tank"...

However, the development of green agricultural models, safe agriculture associated with environmental protection often has very high costs, causing difficulties for production units. Therefore, to develop agricultural production associated with environmental protection, the agricultural sector has been coordinating with functional sectors and localities to promote good experiences, methods and creative and effective ways for people to learn. At the same time, departments, sectors and units in the province also regularly guide and support agricultural cooperatives and farm owners to complete business plans; organizational structure, apparatus; invest in infrastructure, machinery and equipment; support in adjusting and perfecting products to suit market needs. At the same time, support producers to apply measures to reuse and recycle organic waste and agricultural by-products into fuels and environmentally friendly products. From there, it contributes to gradually changing the mindset from traditional production, from not paying attention to by-products and the environment to production according to a circular economic model, reusing resources effectively and sustainably associated with market demand among the people.
