During his visit to Brazil, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia had talks and exchanges with President of the Communist Party, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Luisiana Santos; President of the Labor Party Gleisi Hoffmann; President of the Democratic Labor Party, Minister of Social Security Carlos Lupin; Advisor to the President of Brazil Celso Amorim; President of the Brazil-Vietnam Friendship Association Ignacio Arruda.
The delegation attended the International Conference on “President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam-Latin America Relations”; worked with leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Trade, Services and Tourism; visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy and a number of economic and cultural establishments in Brazil.
At the meetings, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Brazil on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations; emphasizing that the visit contributes to consolidating, enhancing and expanding relations with political parties in Brazil, as well as promoting the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Brazil to develop more sustainably, effectively and substantially.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia thanked the Advisor to President Lula da Silva, leaders of Brazilian political parties and organizations for receiving and giving the delegation warm feelings and respectfully conveyed the greetings and regards of General Secretary, President To Lam and other high-ranking leaders of Vietnam to the leaders of Brazilian political parties and the State; at the same time sincerely thanked the friendly parties for sending letters and telegrams of condolences on the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized the solidarity, friendship, support and assistance of the people and leftist, communist and progressive forces in Brazil for the struggle for national liberation and reunification in the past as well as in the cause of national construction and defense today, especially the feelings that the Brazilian people had for President Ho Chi Minh during the years he lived and worked in Brazil on his journey to find a way to save the country.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated Brazil on its achievements in socio-economic development, party building, social security work, and poverty reduction; he believed that Brazil would continue to gain new and greater achievements, successfully organize local elections in 2024 and look forward to the presidential election in 2026, contributing to enhancing Brazil's role and position in the international arena.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his joy at the increasingly good development of Vietnam-Brazil relations in many areas, including the solidarity, friendship, tradition and cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and political parties in Brazil.
He informed about Vietnam's achievements and lessons learned after nearly 40 years of renovation, the development goals in various fields, the focus and strategic breakthroughs set by the 13th National Congress, as well as shared his assessment of the recent emerging world situation; affirmed that Vietnam continues to consistently implement its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, attaching importance to developing traditional friendly and cooperative relations with neighboring countries, major countries and traditional friends, including Latin American countries.
Leaders of political parties, representatives of the Government, friendship organizations and people of Brazil respectfully conveyed their greetings to General Secretary and President To Lam and senior leaders of Vietnam; highly appreciated the significance of the delegation's visit, considering this a good opportunity for the two sides to discuss issues of mutual concern.
In particular, the leader of the ruling Labor Party emphasized that the visit is an important milestone in the history of relations between the two Parties, contributing to further deepening the relationship between Vietnam and Brazil.
The Brazilian leaders congratulated and were impressed by the important achievements that Vietnam has made in recent times, especially in socio-economic development, Party building, and foreign affairs; emphasized the role of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh and generations of Vietnamese leaders in the struggle for national liberation and reunification in the past as well as in the current renovation process; expressed their belief that Vietnam will continue to gain even greater achievements in the renovation process, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, considering this a valuable example and lesson for political parties in Brazil and Latin America.

Brazilian leaders were delighted with the Vietnam-Brazil relationship that has been constantly strengthened and developed; they said that the two countries have many similarities in history, in the process of building and developing the country; and they recalled that President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in Brazil during the early years of his search for a way to save the country.
The Brazilian leader affirmed that he will closely coordinate with Vietnam in promoting the effective implementation of joint statements and agreements between high-ranking leaders of the two parties and countries; and continue to support each other at international and regional forums to deal with the challenges facing the countries in the context of extremely complicated developments in the world situation.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia and the leaders of the Communist Party and the Workers' Party of Brazil signed a Cooperation Agreement for the 2024-2029 period to contribute to strengthening, promoting and expanding the Vietnam-Brazil relationship, making it more in-depth, effective and practical on the basis of respecting independence, sovereignty, equality and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.
Accordingly, the two sides agreed to continue to deepen the friendship, traditional solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and political trust between the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries, bringing benefits to the people of each country, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in each region and the world; increase information exchange on the situation of each party, each country, the international regional situation and issues of mutual concern; step up propaganda work; effectively implement agreements; create breakthroughs in cooperation in economics, trade, investment, science and technology and innovation; encourage people-to-people exchanges between the two countries; closely coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums.
