Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Official Dispatch No. 4/CD-TTg dated January 16, 2025 of the Prime Minister on strengthening traffic order and safety during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2025.

The dispatch stated that on December 12, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Dispatch No. 132/CD-TTg directing ministries, branches and localities to improve the effectiveness of ensuring traffic order and safety.
During the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2025, traffic volume is forecasted to continue to increase, creating great pressure on ensuring traffic order and safety, with potential risks of traffic congestion and traffic accidents.
To ensure traffic order and safety to serve people celebrating the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival 2025, the Prime Minister requested ministries, agencies and localities to have plans to meet the increased travel demand, effectively respond to common violations of traffic order and safety during the holidays and Tet to ensure safety for traffic participants and best serve the travel needs of the people.
At the same time, the head of the Government requested to prevent and stop traffic jams and traffic accidents.
It is necessary to increase medical staff, equipment and supplies to ensure the highest capacity in medical examination and treatment, especially emergency care and treatment of traffic accident victims, to minimize human losses.
Media agencies increase the duration and content of propaganda on traffic order and safety during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2025, focusing on propaganda and dissemination of traffic safety laws, and guidance on safe traffic participation skills, especially on highways.
The Prime Minister requested that in the plan, the People's Committees of provinces and cities must ensure specificity, a detailed list of tasks, assign responsible agencies and allocate resources for implementation. During the implementation process, there must be supervision, urging, summarizing and quantitatively evaluating the effectiveness with specific indicators.
Assign competent focal points to organize 24/7 duty, report on the situation of ensuring order and traffic safety during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, from January 25 to February 2, i.e. December 26 of the year of Giap Thin to January 5 of the year of At Ty, to the National Traffic Safety Committee.
In which, the quick report is sent before 2:00 p.m. every day, the summary report of the 9 days of Tet holiday is sent before 2:00 p.m. on February 2.
