Seeing the Prime Minister off at the airport were Vietnamese Ambassador to the United States Nguyen Quoc Dung, Ambassador, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation to the United Nations Dang Hoang Giang and staff of the Delegation.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation had exciting multilateral and bilateral activities in major US cities such as San Francisco, Washington DC and New York from September 17-23.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip to the United States and participation in the High-Level Debate of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly once again demonstrated the image of Vietnam as a peace-loving, active, and responsible country through effective and substantive contributions in all aspects at multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations, which the international community has high expectations for.
During his visit to Brazil, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to meet and discuss with President Lula da Silva and other senior leaders of Brazil, with political parties, social organizations, state governments, and the business community to help the two sides find new directions in promoting cooperation, deepening the Comprehensive Partnership, identifying specific projects and areas of cooperation, thereby bringing the relationship between the two countries into depth, substance, and effectiveness.
The official visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is of great significance to promoting bilateral cooperation in the future, marking the opening of a new period of cooperation with Brazil.
Assessing the prospects for cooperation between Vietnam and Brazil, Vietnamese Ambassador to Brazil Pham Thi Kim Hoa said that the potential for economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries is enormous. Brazil is also the gateway for Vietnam to enter Latin American markets, just as Vietnam is the door for Brazil to enter ASEAN and Asian countries.
Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam Marco Farani said: "We are very happy and excited to wait for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit in the last week of September. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit will bring the two countries closer together and open up opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in many fields."
Mr. Marco Farani also affirmed that both countries are located in the Southern Hemisphere, share the same aspirations and are both leading countries, of special importance in the region. Therefore, it is important that the two leaders of Vietnam and Brazil meet and start a dialogue on these issues.
