During the visit, Prime Minister Modi and his Australian and Japanese counterparts Anthony Albanese and Kishida Fumio, respectively, will attend the 4th Quad Summit chaired by US President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, on September 21, the Hindustan Times reported.
At the summit, leaders will review the progress made by the Quad grouping over the past year and set an agenda for the coming year to support countries in the Indo-Pacific region in meeting their development goals and aspirations.
The group's next summit will be held in India, with "different faces" in the form of the US President and Japanese Prime Minister.
According to the plan, on September 22, in New York, Mr. Modi will speak at a meeting of the Indian community, and meet with leaders of leading US-based companies to promote greater cooperation between the two countries in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum, computers, semiconductors and biotechnology.
On his final day in the US, the Indian leader will address the Future Summit during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. This year, the event is themed "Multilateral Solutions for a Brighter Tomorrow".
On the sidelines of the Summit, Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders and discuss issues of mutual concern.
Mr. Modi last visited the US in mid-June last year and held talks with President Biden at the White House in Washington DC.
