Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board said that in order to take advantage of the advantages and potentials, the National Park is developing unique and attractive tourism products, such as cave tours, adventure tourism, experiencing tropical primeval forests, cultural and historical tours, etc.
In addition, in the buffer zone of the National Park, with the acumen of investors, many tourism products such as farmstay, homestay, clean agricultural farms, etc. have been developed and attracted a large number of tourists to stay, creating a chain of integrated tourism products.
Attractive investment destination
The Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park said that recently, Quang Binh province has focused on investing in infrastructure to improve the quality of tourism products in the National Park.
Accordingly, in 2013, the province invested in renovating Tien Son cave; in 2016, invested in constructing the Mooc spring eco-tourism site phase I; in 2019, invested in the underground system in Phong Nha cave... Along with that, the tourism industry also opened many new routes and tours in the National Park to serve tourists.
In addition to using capital from the state budget, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park also mobilizes additional capital from staff and employees in the unit to invest in developing eco-tourism products such as Zipline Song Chay - Dark Cave, Heritage restaurant, Son Doong restaurant...
However, in reality, investment in tourism development in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is generally not commensurate with its inherent potential.
According to Mr. Pham Hong Thai, Director of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board, to solve the problem of capital for tourism development investment, one of the important solutions that needs to be promoted is to mobilize all domestic and foreign resources, promote investment attraction, especially large investors with potential and experience in the tourism sector. From there, it is possible to open more routes and new eco-tourism - resort and entertainment destinations, contributing to diversifying products and increasing the number of visitors.
Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Phan Phong Phu, said that the role of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park in the socio-economic development orientations of Quang Binh province is extremely important. In the Quang Binh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Tourist Area is oriented to become a regional-class tourism center in Southeast Asia. The planning also identifies this as one of the two main "growth driving centers" of Quang Binh province for the period 2021-2030, alongside Hon La Economic Zone.
“In the coming time, Quang Binh province will continue to promote administrative reform, improve the investment and business environment, and increase investment attraction to the province, especially in areas with local strengths such as tourism. In the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park area, the province will focus on attracting investors to exploit and promote the advantages of the Park. From there, calling for investment to build new eco-tourism, resort and entertainment routes, contributing to diversifying tourism products, attracting an increasing number of visitors. Further increase the number of visitors to Phong Nha - Ke Bang, not only domestic visitors, but also international visitors", Mr. Phan Phong Phu emphasized.
