Listed stock market March 2025: Average trading value increased by 7.9% compared to the previous month

Average transaction value in March 2025 increased by 7.9%

Market liquidity decreased slightly with an average trading volume of 65 million shares/session, down 0.6% compared to the previous month, but the average trading value in March 2025 increased by 7.9% to VND 1,147.3 billion/session.

In particular, the trading session on March 3, 2025 was recorded to have the highest trading volume and trading value of the month with 80.5 million shares, equivalent to 1.54 trillion VND traded.

Transactions of the HNX30 group of stocks had a total trading volume of more than 830 million shares, equivalent to a trading value of more than 16.9 trillion VND, accounting for 60.81% in volume and 70.39% in trading value of the whole market.

In terms of liquidity, the stock with the best liquidity in the market continues to be SHS. Compared to February 2024, SHS shares had a sharp increase in trading volume with an increase of up to 20%, reaching 298.3 million shares, accounting for 21% of the total market.

Next is CEO stock with a trading volume of more than 138 million shares, accounting for 9.78% of the market.

In third place, MBS shares had a trading volume of 86.4 million shares, accounting for 6.09%.

In terms of trading price, the stock code KSF of Sunshine Group Corporation with the strongest increase at the end of the month increased by 67.34% (equivalent to VND 26,800/share) to VND 66,600/share, ranked second was QST stock of Quang Ninh School Equipment and Books Joint Stock Company with an increase of 65.75% (equivalent to VND 11,900/share) to VND 30,000/share.

Next is SMT stock of SAMETEL JSC with an increase of 46.55% (equivalent to 2,700 VND/share) reaching 8,500 VND/share; followed by PIC stock of Power Investment JSC 3 with an increase of 27.78% (equivalent to 5,000 VND/share) reaching 23,000 VND/share.

Total transaction value of foreign investors increased by 36% compared to February 2025

Foreign investors net sold on the HNX listed stock market with a net selling value of more than VND508.2 billion, of which the buying value was more than VND726 billion and the selling value was more than VND1,235 billion, the total transaction value of foreign investors increased by 36% compared to the previous month.

SHS shares continued to be bought the most by foreign investors with a purchase volume of 16.2 million shares, followed by CEO shares with a purchase volume of more than 2.1 million shares.

On the selling side, PVS stock ranked first with a buying volume of 9.98 million shares and IDC stock ranked second with a selling volume of more than 6.2 million shares.

Self-trading activities of listed stocks at HNX continue to be promoted

Member securities companies continued to promote self-trading of listed stocks at HNX with a trading value of more than VND1,005 billion (accounting for 3.84% of the total market), up 23.7% compared to the previous month, of which this group net bought with a value of more than VND101.7 billion.

In March 2025, the HNX listed stock market had 1 new listed enterprise, the total number of listed enterprises at the end of March 2025 reached 311 enterprises with a total listed value of more than 166.8 trillion VND.

Market capitalization at the end of the month trading session reached more than 375.6 trillion VND, down 2.1% compared to February 2025.

In the first quarter of 2025, the average trading volume on the HNX listed stock market reached 60.07 million shares/session and the average trading value reached VND 1,004 billion/session, corresponding to a decrease of 33.5% in average trading volume and 43.8% in average trading value compared to the average of 2024.
