More practical activities for Catholics in Thanh Hoa

On the morning of July 31, in Thanh Hoa City, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee (CSC) held a conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the local Catholic Ethnic Council mobilized Catholics to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Catholic Ethnic Council, in conjunction with the movement to build advanced parishes and parishes, and cultural Catholic families to participate in building new rural areas (NRCs) and civilized urban areas (CUTs) with many good and creative ways, contributing to consolidating and building the great national unity bloc.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Committee for Religious Affairs continues to coordinate in propagating and mobilizing Catholics in the province to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, the Law on Belief and Religion; actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Catholic Committee, especially the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, practice good morality, live a good life, and follow good religion" associated with the movement to build advanced parishes and parishes, and cultural Catholic families. Mobilize dignitaries and officials to participate in the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels for the 2024-2029 term.

Through monitoring and synthesis, there are 303 typical dignitaries, officials and lay people participating in the Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels.

Organizing the campaign to support the construction of houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province, the Catholic Solidarity Committees of districts, towns, cities and individuals in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Catholic Religious Committee donated 37.6 billion VND (phase 1) to the Provincial Catholic Religious Committee.

At the conference, opinions focused on discussing, presenting the results achieved, difficulties, shortcomings and discussing the direction and key tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. In particular, focusing on propagating to dignitaries, officials, monks, and Catholics about the results of the Congress, the Resolution of the Congress, adding to the annual and term work program about the action program of the Provincial Fatherland Front for the term 2024-2029.
