More banks sharply increase deposit interest rates

Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB) has just increased its deposit interest rates by 0.2%/year for terms from 1-8 months, and 0.1%/year for terms from 9-11 months.

According to the online interest rate table, the 1-month term is 3.9%/year, 2-month term is 4%/year, 3-4 months is 4.1%/year, and 5 months is 4.5%/year; the 6-8 month term is listed at 5.1%/year.

In the big 4 group, Agribank's listed interest rate is the highest at 4.8%/year for a 24-month term.

Vietcombank still has the lowest deposit interest rate in the Big4 group. For a 6-9 month deposit term, Vietcombank's interest rate is 2.9%. For a 12 month deposit term, the interest rate is 4.6%. For a term of 24 months or more, this bank lists an interest rate of 4.7%/year.

As of September 14, 8 banks have increased deposit interest rates, including: Dong A Bank, OceanBank, VietBank, GPBank, Agribank, Bac A Bank, NCB, and OCB.
