On May 29, the International Judo Federation (IJF) announced the latest rankings in the race for tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics for athletes around the world. Accordingly, Vietnamese athlete - Hoang Thi Tinh accumulated 213 points, ranked 9th in Asia. This position is enough for the 29-year-old athlete to get a ticket to France to attend the 2024 Paris Olympics in the women's 48kg weight class.

The scoring method in the IJF's race for a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics is very complicated and will be completed on June 23. However, with the current score, Hoang Thi Tinh is almost certain to have a ticket to the Olympics when the gap with the following positions is relatively safe.
Before the IJF "closes the book" on the Paris Olympics, Hoang Thi Tinh will still participate in 2 tournaments in Tahiti and Peru to accumulate more points, so only a huge surprise will cause this athlete to miss out on the Paris Olympics this summer.

Before Hoang Thi Tinh's place at the Paris Olympics was officially recognized, Vietnamese sports had 10 places to go to France this year, including: Nguyen Thuy Linh, Le Duc Phat (Badminton); Trinh Thu Vinh, Le Thi Mong Tuyen (Shooting); Nguyen Huy Hoang (Swimming); Nguyen Thi That (Cycling); Trinh Van Vinh (Weightlifting); Vo Thi Kim Anh (Boxing); Nguyen Thi Huong (Canoeing) and Pham Thi Hue (Rowing).
