On the afternoon of March 20, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of 3 units: Central Vietnam Farmers' Union, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Vietnam Cooperative Alliance organized a workshop on ecological agriculture, professional farmers - aspirations to reach new heights.
Young delegates attending the workshop discussed the role of youth in developing ecological agriculture and building a model of a new-age Vietnamese farmer.
In particular, young people exchanged and shared lessons and experiences in the process of establishing themselves and their careers with company, business and cooperative models in the agricultural sector.
Sharing at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen The Tung, General Director of Queen Farm (Binh Phuoc) said that he did not know anything about agriculture before, but after graduating with a master's degree in business administration in the UK, he returned to work in agriculture, became passionate about garden design, learned fruit growing techniques and started building an experimental high-tech durian farm in Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc province).
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tram (an outstanding Vietnamese farmer in Bac Ninh province) shared her experience in high-tech agricultural production at two farms cultivating nearly 20 hectares of high-tech vegetables in Bac Ninh and Ha Giang. Ms. Tram said that before learning vegetable growing techniques and starting a business, we need to learn how to manage finances and accumulate finances effectively first.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association presented a paper on building a model of young farmers with qualifications and capacity, oriented towards the countryside...
At the workshop, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at 3 units: Vietnam Farmers' Union, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam Cooperative Alliance signed a memorandum of understanding to coordinate the implementation of programs, union work and youth movements for the period 2024-2027.
