Heritage that lasts through time

Every spring, all things seem to be reborn under the warm golden sunlight; flowers and leaves compete to show their colors, birds chirp. In the bustling atmosphere of the first days of spring, I visited the Ho Dynasty Citadel (Vinh Loc district, Thanh Hoa province), one of the nation's precious cultural heritages.

Stepping into this place, I felt like I was lost in another world, a world where time seemed to stop. From there, people could hear the whispering of the stone slabs as if telling about a glorious era of the nation, affirming the talent and unlimited creativity of our ancestors.

Ho Dynasty Citadel, a precious heritage of the nation.

Ho Dynasty Citadel, located in Long and Vinh Tien communes, Vinh Loc district, Thanh Hoa province. This is one of the unique architectural works and has great historical value in Vietnam. Construction began in 1397 under Ho Quy Ly, the citadel quickly became a political, economic and cultural center of the Ho Dynasty.

With its deep moat system, solid walls and auxiliary works, the Ho Dynasty Citadel is not only a symbol of military power but also a testament to the architectural talent of the ancient Vietnamese people. Despite the ups and downs of history, the citadel still retains its quiet, ancient beauty, attracting many tourists to visit and learn.

This is not only an independent architectural work but also a place where time stands still. Like a time machine, taking us back in time to experience the life of the royal palace in the majestic and splendid betel nut chewing sessions. Then, everything disappears like a passing wind, awakening us to the present with the people today who are coming back to contemplate. Touching the past to cherish this life and protect it for future generations.

Here, nature and people seem to blend together to create a harmonious picture. Green trees and colorful flowers all seem to glorify the beauty of this architectural work. The ancient flowers stretch out like silent guardians of the past, the young leaves sway in the spring breeze like symbols of new life, rising from the traces of time.

The ancient hands together created history, now, I myself can touch them. From contemplating the past, I began to explore the hidden corners of the Ho Dynasty Citadel. Every corner, every detail contains mysteries waiting to be discovered.

The Ho Dynasty Citadel still retains its value today thanks to the dedication of those who have contributed to preserving and promoting the value of this heritage . Historical researchers are tirelessly searching for every clue, gradually revealing the deep mysteries of the citadel.

Archaeologists have found the foundations of the structure and valuable artifacts that help recreate the lives of ancient people, while architects have carefully researched to preserve the unique features of the structure. The management team, with a deep love for the Ho Dynasty Citadel, has created a special cultural environment where the past and present blend.

At the same time, local people always preserve and pass on historical stories, contributing to enriching the value of the heritage. Stories about the pair of stone dragons, or the touching story of Binh Khuong who committed suicide to defend her husband, have created a mysterious and attractive atmosphere. In addition, the active participation of the people in preserving and developing the heritage has contributed to making the Ho Dynasty Citadel more vibrant than ever.

Conservation associated with tourism development

According to Mr. Trinh Huu Anh, Deputy Director of the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center: " The conservation and promotion of the value of the Ho Dynasty Citadel heritage must achieve the goal of awareness in common responsibility with the companionship and sharing of the social community. Only then will the heritage be sustainable in the hearts of the people, and more resources can be mobilized to preserve and promote the value of this heritage."

In the heritage area, we will see groups of students attentively listening to a presentation about their homeland's history, which also leaves a special impression. A parent from Thanh Hoa said: "By bringing my children here, I want them to understand that the past is not only in textbooks, but is also vividly present right here. This is the best way to instill in them a love of history and national pride."

Outside the citadel, life is still bustling, but the beauty of the ancient palace is still preserved and developed through the skillful hands of the people. Traditional handicrafts, from sophisticated paper fans to cakes with royal flavors, are not only souvenirs but also unique works of art, imbued with the spirit of an era.

Just like in the past, to have a solid citadel, many generations of Vietnamese people joined hands and contributed stones to build the wall; today, that spirit continues. Preserving and promoting the value of the Ho Dynasty Citadel is not only the responsibility of an individual or an organization, but the responsibility of the whole community. Each brick preserved, each carving restored is an effort to contribute to beautifying the historical picture of the nation.

Leaving the Ho Dynasty Citadel, I carried with me many indescribable emotions. It was admiration for the ancient beauty, respect for those who built and preserved the heritage, and pride in a part of the nation's heroic history.

Spring on the Ho Dynasty Citadel is not only a season of trees and flowers, but also a season of hope. With the continuous efforts of the community, the Ho Dynasty Citadel will last forever, becoming a symbol of pride for many generations of Vietnamese people.

In the heart of the ancient Ho Dynasty Citadel, where the past and present blend together, groups of people with gentle footsteps are strolling through mossy rocks, together discovering traces of time. Spring seems to be warmer and more joyful when visiting Ho Dynasty Citadel, everyone can enjoy spring together as well as learn about a heroic historical period of the nation.
