This year's Youth Month is special because the youth are joining the people and leaders of Ho Chi Minh City in activities towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. It is also special because the value of peace that many generations of young people in the city enjoy today originates from the historic spring victory exactly 50 years ago.
Youth is inherently dynamic, and the youth of the city named after Uncle Ho is even more dynamic. This has become a characteristic and is demonstrated by many exciting ways in the youth movement of the city as well as the whole country, initiated by the youth of Ho Chi Minh City. The young generation of the city follows each other on the journey of exploration, creativity and creation, not only creating a common movement of the youth but also a common cause of building and developing the city.
The journey of the past 50 years probably cannot be mentioned without mentioning the mark of young volunteers who set out to build the city after liberation. The farms of Tran Quang Co, Pham Van Coi, Le Minh Xuan... have been imprinted with the sweat of generations of young volunteers of Ho Chi Minh City who volunteered to explore new lands.
That spirit is still continued and strongly developed with the city’s youth today. Young people are present on every kilometer, volunteering in many fields to contribute to the completion of the political tasks of the locality and unit. But in the new journey, the youth are also facing new demands of the times.
Digital transformation has been carried out in recent times with many initial results. Together with Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, it will be a solid stepping stone for young people to become a leading force, playing an important role in bringing the country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular to develop strongly.
No one else but the young team is the force that can access and master technology the fastest. And no one else but the young force in big cities, including Ho Chi Minh City, must be the pioneers in the mission of breaking through in the development of science, technology and digital transformation. This has been done and requires the youth of Ho Chi Minh City to do it more strongly and decisively in the coming time.
So from this 50-year milestone, which is also the beginning of the nation's rise, the youth are placed on their shoulders the responsibility of taking action to make the country stronger, more developed, and more deeply integrated. This is nothing other than the goal of serving and improving the quality of life of the people.
It must be so that the country not only becomes more and more dignified and beautiful but also moves towards a civilized and developed society. It is also the same as "Arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country" with the nation so that our country can gradually develop into a strong and prosperous country as the goal determined by the 13th National Party Congress.
