Noi Lang embankment outside An Ha 2 embankment, left estuary of Hong Ha river, located in Nam Hai commune, Tien Hai district. The project is over 1.3km long.
Tien Hai district forces are actively planting bamboo stakes to handle the embankment landslide incident.
Due to the impact of storm No. 3 and the recent flood on the Red River, the safety of dike and embankment works in the district has been directly affected, including Noi Lang embankment outside An Ha 2 embankment.
Through an inspection by the Tien Hai district authorities on September 17, nearly 200m of Noi Lang embankment outside An Ha 2 dike was found to have collapsed, of which 70m collapsed close to the foot of the dike.
This is a very dangerous incident and continues to cause landslides on the embankment, endangering the An Ha embankment during a storm in the East Sea.
Immediately after the embankment landslide incident occurred, Tien Hai District People's Committee directed Nam Hai Commune People's Committee to plant bamboo to monitor the landslide points; closely monitor the embankment landslide situation to report to the district for timely handling plan.
Tien Hai district mobilized many forces, materials and means to handle the landslide incident.
On September 18, Tien Hai district mobilized a force of 70 people, hundreds of bamboo trees, reed fences , more than 100m3 of sand, many sacks and an excavator to handle landslides on Noi Lang embankment outside An Ha 2 embankment.
District forces are actively working, striving to complete the handling of the landslide incident of Noi Lang embankment outside An Ha 2 dike on September 18.
