Thach Ha strives to plant more than 1,000 hectares of winter crops

In the 2023 winter crop, the entire Thach Ha district (Ha Tinh) strives to plant 1,008 hectares of various crops.

Thach Ha District People's Committee deployed the 2023 winter crop production project on the morning of September 7.

Accordingly, the area of corn for grain, strives to plant 90 hectares, yield 30 tons/ha, output 270 tons; the area of sweet potato is 168 hectares, yield 70 quintals/ha, output 1,176 tons; newly planted 10.4 hectares of flowers, ornamental plants; planted 740 hectares of vegetables, tubers, and fruits for food, yield 68 quintals/ha, output 5,032 tons.

For edible and medicinal mushrooms, Thach Ha aims to achieve a farm area of 5,000 ^m2 ; output of 40 tons (14 tons of dried wood ear mushroom products; 25.6 tons of fresh oyster mushroom products; 0.4 tons of dried lingzhi mushroom products).

In addition, the district continues to direct and urge localities to focus on renovating, embellishing and developing garden economy; striving to exceed the planned target of 2,000 gardens in 2023. Guiding vegetable, fruit, orange and grapefruit production facilities to focus on building dossiers for granting growing area codes; striving to have 4 facilities granted area codes in Thach Lien, Thach Ngoc, Nam Dien and Thach Lac communes by the end of the year.

In order to effectively implement the 2023 winter crop production, Thach Ha continues to strengthen information and propaganda work, disseminate and thoroughly understand the project's content; plan concentrated and specialized production areas, organize production and consumption according to the value chain, closely link farmers with each other, farmers with consuming enterprises through contracts to create a stable winter crop product consumption market, beneficial to farmers and enterprises.
