Eurasia magazine opens special issue to celebrate 75 years of Vietnam-Hungary relations

Eurasia Magazine wants to publish more articles on Vietnam's innovation and development achievements According to VNA correspondent in Central and Eastern Europe, recently, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Nguyen Thi Bich Thao received Dr. Levente Horvath, Director of the Eurasia Center, Editor-in-Chief of Eurasia Magazine at John von Neumann University (Hungary). At the meeting, Mr. Levente Horvath expressed his hope that Eurasia Magazine could convey more information on Vietnam's innovation and development achievements. Dr. Levente Horvath expressed his gratitude for the cooperation between the Embassy and the magazine in the past time, especially the interview of Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao exclusively for Eurasia Magazine published in the latest issue with the content on the Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and Hungary during the official visit to Hungary by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in January 2024. Dr. Levente Horvath assessed this as a good start for the cooperative relationship between the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary and Eurasia Magazine. He expressed his wish to continue to cooperate more in areas such as strengthening educational cooperation between John von Neumann University and Vietnamese universities; publishing more articles about Vietnam from the Vietnamese perspective in the fields of economics, politics, culture, tourism, cuisine, etc. to increase understanding and information for the Hungarian people about the achievements of innovation and development of the Vietnamese people in recent times. The Ambassador said that the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Hungary has developed over the past 70 years, regularly strengthened and built through visits by senior leaders of the two countries. The Ambassador expressed her willingness to provide updated information on Vietnam's development to Hungarian readers, aiming at closer ties and narrowing the cultural gap as well as building trust, thereby contributing to promoting economic, trade, tourism, labor development... between the people of the two countries. According to Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao, the Vietnam-Hungary relationship in the coming time will have important events, especially the 75th anniversary of bilateral relations in 2025. The two countries will have many cultural, economic, and business cooperation activities, visits and exchanges of delegations at all levels. Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao expressed her desire to continue cooperation with Eurasia Magazine and Dr. Levente Horvath was pleased to announce that he is ready to dedicate a separate magazine to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-Hungary relations (1950-2025). Eurasia Magazine belongs to the Center for Eurasian Studies, John von Neumann University, established and funded by the Central Bank of Hungary to provide policy advice to the Hungarian government and businesses. The magazine publishes in-depth research publications monthly in English and quarterly in Hungarian; at the same time, the website regularly updates publications and articles on Hungary's relations with Asian countries in many fields such as technology, infrastructure, economic policy, geopolitics, culture, and sports. In 2022, John von Neumann University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Commerce in the presence of the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary./.
