Create an environment for students to apply technology into practice

NDO - On March 27, FPT University and FPT Corporation launched the FPTU AI & Robotics Challenge (FARC) 2025, creating an environment for high school students nationwide to apply technology into practice and develop necessary skills in the digital age.

The competition is for high school students nationwide, each school can register up to 3 teams, each team consists of 5 students and one instructor.

Director of Admissions of FPT University, FPT Corporation, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest Nguyen Hung Quan said: In the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution, artificial intelligence (AI) and Robotics are increasingly asserting their key role in the development of society. Early access and application of these technologies, especially for high school students, is an important factor in helping to orient, develop talents and prepare high-quality human resources for the country.

The FPTU AI & Robotics Challenge 2025 is not only a technological playground, but also a solid stepping stone for high school students to explore their potential, develop practical skills and determine their future career orientation.

Through the competition, FPT University wishes to affirm its pioneering role in promoting STEAM education (science-technology-engineering-arts-mathematics) in Vietnam, accompanying students on their journey to become high-tech human resources to meet the requirements of the digital age.

The contest launch ceremony was attended by representatives of high schools from Hanoi, Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Thanh Hoa...

Vice Principal of Hai Ba Trung High School (Thach That District, Hanoi) Khuat Van Tien shared: The contest is not only an opportunity for high school students who are passionate about AI and Robotics to demonstrate their abilities, but also a playground to inspire creativity, promoting the spirit of technology exploration for young people across the country.

At the ceremony, Director of FPT Education Technology Experience, FPT Corporation, Master Le Ngoc Tuan, officially announced this year's contest with the theme "Sustainable Agriculture". The teams will invent robots that can cooperate with farmers, thereby building an advanced agriculture, applying modern technology but still preserving Vietnamese identity. The organizers hope that this challenge will find talented inventors and creators in the fields of agriculture and robotics, opening up many breakthrough solutions for the future.

FARC 2025 consists of three main rounds: AI Programming; Regional Robotics and National Finals. Instructors and students attend the Finals from July 26 to 27 (FPT University sponsors all accommodation and food expenses).

At FARC 2025, the scoring criteria are designed to comprehensively evaluate the teams' capabilities, ensuring fairness and accurately reflecting the ability to apply artificial intelligence, design, program, and effectively control robots.

To participate in FARC 2025, teams can register online on the competition's official website, or send their application by post to FPT University campuses from March 27 to April 14.

The competition will award prizes to contestants in the AI ​​programming round and the national final round. In the AI ​​programming round, the organizing committee will award 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 6 consolation prizes, with prize values ​​ranging from 2 to 10 million VND for each team.

At the national finals, the organizing committee will award 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 8 consolation prizes. The first prize winning team will receive 50 million VND and a two-year scholarship at FPT University for each member. The second, third and consolation prize winning teams will receive prizes of 35-25-15 million VND and a two-year or one-year scholarship respectively. The remaining teams in the finals will receive a scholarship from the school worth 30 million VND/person.
