On the morning of November 26, the Department of Industry and Trade organized a connection and introduction of products of enterprises and cooperatives in Hai Duong with representatives of 12 Vietnamese Trade Offices abroad, including potential markets such as: Chile, China, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Egypt, Cambodia...
The delegation visited and worked at V-Phuc Green Agriculture Cooperative (Kim Thanh), Hoang Giang Joint Stock Company (Hai Duong City) and Chu Dau Ceramic Joint Stock Company (Nam Sach). These cooperatives and enterprises have main export products of fresh fruits, dried agricultural products, green bean cakes and ceramics.
At the meeting, representatives of enterprises and cooperatives raised some difficulties and obstacles in the process of approaching and penetrating international markets. Currently, enterprises and cooperatives still lack information about the market and face some technical barriers in the export process. Enterprises have requested the counselors and commercial attachés to support them in searching and learning about import units and enterprises in the markets of the host countries.
The counselors and commercial attachés briefly introduced the host country's market and expressed their willingness to actively connect and provide information support so that Hai Duong's enterprises and cooperatives can expand their markets and exploit new markets to boost exports.
Through the meeting, businesses had the opportunity to grasp more market information, especially information related to technical barriers that need to be noted when entering the foreign market and connect with Vietnamese Trade Offices abroad to maintain information channels and expand the market for goods consumption in the coming time. Businesses also hope that the Department of Industry and Trade will further strengthen connections to support businesses and cooperatives to expand the market for typical and key goods.
In the first 10 months of 2024, Hai Duong's export value is estimated at 8.528 billion USD, up 8.5% over the same period in 2023. Textiles, footwear, electronic components, and office machines all achieved high values. The reason for the increase in export value is that major markets such as the United States, the European Union (EU), and Japan have all recovered well.
