Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) has just announced an increase in ticket prices on four expressways managed by the company.
Specifically, VEC will increase ticket prices by 12% for the Noi Bai - Lao Cai, Cau Gie - Ninh Binh and Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressways. The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway will increase by 5%.

With the above increase in ticket prices, the toll for a car traveling the entire Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway is 82,880 VND, for the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway is 189,280 VND, for the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway is 216,160 VND and for the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway is 105,000 VND.
In addition, businesses continue to apply the 8% VAT rate from January 1 to June 30 based on the tax reduction policy of the Government and the National Assembly.
VEC said the fare increase was carried out according to a roadmap and had been reported to competent authorities. The company increased fares to ensure cash flow to fulfill financial obligations and achieve the goal of investing in highway development.
