Strengthening forest fire prevention and fighting

On October 28, 2024, the People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district quickly reported on the forest fire in Ban Man village, Binh Phu commune. Currently, the weather has turned dry, with a high risk of forest fires. In order to proactively prevent and fight forest fires early and from afar to minimize damage caused by forest fires, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed and assigned the following responsibilities:

The People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district implements plans to restore the forest environment in the area where the forest fire occurred in Ban Man village, Binh Phu commune. Ensure that there is no encroachment or illegal use of forest land. Inspect and clarify the cause and strictly handle organizations and individuals involved in forest management and protection that cause forest fires according to regulations (if any).

The People's Committees of districts and cities shall proactively coordinate with relevant departments and branches to continue to strictly implement the responsibility of State management of forestry; develop plans and solutions for forest fire prevention and fighting in the area; strengthen propaganda, dissemination, and legal education, and mobilize local people to strictly comply with regulations on forest protection and forest fire prevention and fighting. Organize on-duty shifts and assign forces to be on duty 24/7 in areas with forest fire risk warning levels of level III or higher; strengthen guarding and patrolling to detect forest fires early and ensure on-duty forces are ready to mobilize local forces to handle forest fires as soon as they occur.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over and closely coordinate with departments, branches, and People's Committees of districts and cities in implementing tasks and solutions on forest protection, forest fire prevention and fighting. Direct the Forest Protection Department to strengthen inspection of forest fire prevention and fighting, and effectively carry out information, forecasting, and warning of forest fires, ensuring accurate and timely updates.

The Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police Department have implemented well the coordination regulations between the Provincial Police Department, the Provincial Military Command, and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. They have closely coordinated with the Forestry Force and local authorities at all levels, proactively developed plans to support forest fire fighting, organized forces, vehicles, and equipment for forest fire prevention and fighting, and ensured timely response to forest fire emergencies.

Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, People's Committees of districts and cities to carry out propaganda work on the media to raise awareness and compliance with regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting so that people can understand and implement them.
