On June 21, Mr. Le Van Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee - was elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Sharing after taking office as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Van Dung expressed: "Receiving the responsibility of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee today, I feel both happy and very worried. I am happy because the Party Committee and the people have entrusted me with this responsibility; but I am very worried that the road ahead will still have many difficulties and challenges, in the face of major events that have occurred and are occurring in many places across the country."

The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province reiterated that in 2022, the province's GRDP growth rate will be among the provinces with the highest growth rate in the country, ranking 11th out of 63 provinces and cities.
However, over the past year, Quang Nam has experienced many fluctuations; the stagnation of the provincial economy is declining (negative growth); many violations pointed out by the Central Inspection Commission have not been corrected; a number of officials are afraid of making mistakes, avoiding and pushing away work, causing many major obstacles; some legitimate rights and interests of a number of people have not been resolved; many businesses are facing difficulties that have not been resolved...
"Quang Nam province is going through a period with many difficulties and challenges. But I also feel that, beside me, there is a collective of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee that always promotes the tradition of solidarity and unity," Mr. Le Van Dung shared.
The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province also said that besides him, there is also the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - the head of the Party Committee who is very responsible, dynamic, creative, and always concerned with work.
In addition, for a long time, he has also received encouragement and expectations from many people, including Quang Nam's children from all over the country; the business community and retired cadres have trusted and placed their hopes on him.
"All of that has given me a deep belief and great determination to prepare me for the journey ahead," said the new Chairman of Quang Nam province.
In front of the delegates, the new Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee promised to strive and do his best, always uphold the sense of responsibility, constantly improve political capacity, maintain moral qualities, a pure and exemplary lifestyle, learn and absorb the experiences of previous generations of leaders.
He also promised to make every effort with the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Provincial People's Committee's Executive Committee... to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity, overcome all difficulties and challenges to lead and successfully implement the goals set out in the Resolution of the 22nd Provincial Party Congress; overcome current delays and limitations; and complete assigned tasks.
