On the afternoon of July 3, the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province announced that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 585 approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province for Mr. Le Van Dung.
Mr. Le Van Dung (right) voted to elect the positions of vice chairmen at the 23rd session of the People's Council of Quang Nam province, term X, 2021-2026.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister signed a decision approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Le Van Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Nam province.
The decision takes effect from today, July 3.
Previously, on the morning of June 21, the People's Council of Quang Nam province, term X, 2021 - 2026, held the 23rd session to resolve urgent matters and elect the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee.
At the meeting, 100% of the delegates present (50/50) voted unanimously to elect Mr. Le Van Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Nam province, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province for the 2021-2026 term.
Mr. Le Van Dung was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to replace Mr. Le Tri Thanh.
At the meeting held on the morning of June 21, the People's Council of Quang Nam province also elected Mr. Phan Thai Binh, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Tran Nam Hung, Secretary of the Tam Ky City Party Committee, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
The above two personnel have been approved by the Prime Minister and take effect from June 28.
Currently, in addition to the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Quang Nam province has completed 4 Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee including Mr. Phan Thai Binh, Mr. Tran Nam Hung, Mr. Ho Quang Buu, and Mr. Tran Anh Tuan.
Mr. Le Van Dung (58 years old, from Que Binh commune, Hiep Duc district, Quang Nam) has a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics and political theory.
Before being elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, Mr. Dung worked as Secretary of Hiep Duc District Party Committee, Chief of Office of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board.
In April 2019, he was elected as the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee. In July 2021, he was elected as a delegate to the 15th National Assembly and was assigned as Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Nam Province.
