
Here, the Tam Ky City Association for Promotion of Education awarded 50 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to junior high school students from schools in the city who have difficult family circumstances, have good academic achievements, are studious and studious in the 2023-2024 school year.
On behalf of the students receiving the scholarship, Pham Thi Kim Ngan (Le Loi Secondary School) said that this is not only a material gift but also has great spiritual significance, helping the students to be more confident in their studies, striving for a brighter tomorrow, and repaying the wishes of the sponsor, grandparents, uncles and aunts.

According to Mr. Bui Tinh - Chairman of the Tam Ky City Association for the Promotion of Education, Allen Nelson was an American veteran who fought in Vietnam. Before his death, he left a will to use all the money he had saved throughout his life to support students in difficult circumstances in the land where he had caused many losses to the people.
That noble heart shows remorse, responsibility and the desire to make up for the young generation of Vietnam, helping them have better learning conditions to rise up in life.

“This year, the Allen Nelson Scholarship Fund continues to accompany the Tam Ky Education Promotion Association to award 50 scholarships to secondary school students, with a total budget of 50 million VND. This is a valuable source of encouragement to help them continue to nurture their dreams, constantly study and practice to become useful citizens for society,” Mr. Tinh shared.
The Allen Nelson Scholarship was first awarded to Tam Ky students in 2009. Since then, the Allen Nelson Scholarship has become a companion to disadvantaged students in the city. Continuously maintained for the past 16 years, this scholarship has awarded 721 scholarships to Tam Ky students with a total cost of more than 397 million VND.
