According to the leaders of Quang Nam General Hospital, the hospital has 3 projects being implemented including: High-tech treatment area; purchasing separate medical equipment, operating room furniture, office equipment for the High-tech treatment area; renovating, upgrading, and expanding Quang Nam General Hospital.
In particular, the High-Tech Treatment Area project has a total investment of nearly 179 billion VND from the provincial budget with a scale of 5 floors, including important items such as a modern operating room system, testing area and intensive care department, with a total floor area of 9,500m2 .
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of May 2025; medical equipment installation began on March 20 and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.
However, the project encountered some difficulties due to the prolonged valuation procedure affecting the progress. In addition, the fire prevention and fighting adjustment dossier is still in the review process, expected to be completed in early April 2025.
For the project to renovate, upgrade and expand Quang Nam General Hospital, the total investment is 210 billion VND, implemented in the period of 2025 - 2028. The project to purchase separate medical equipment, operating room furniture and office equipment is also being implemented to fully equip facilities to serve professional activities at the High-Tech Treatment Area.
At the meeting, after listening to reports and discussions from relevant units, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung requested the units to speed up the progress of the projects and develop specific implementation plans. The bid packages must be completed by July 2025 at the latest.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung requested project investors to closely coordinate with departments, branches and sectors in project implementation; promptly remove obstacles, and avoid prolonged delays.
