Criminal detention of a murder suspect

On June 17, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department detained Le Huu Thuan (born in 1964, in Dong Khe commune, Dong Son district) to investigate and clarify the act of murder.

Previously, on the morning of June 16, 2023, Le Huu Thuan called Ms. LTH (born in 1987, in Rung Thong town, Dong Son district) and asked her to come to his house to resolve a conflict related to borrowing money.

At around 10am that same day, Ms. H and her son rode their motorbike to Le Huu Thuan's house. There, Ms. H and Mr. Thuan got into an argument, leading to Mr. Thuan using a 40cm long knife to slash Ms. LTH and her son multiple times, causing Ms. H to die on the spot and her son to be seriously injured.

Immediately after the murder occurred, the Director and Head of the Thanh Hoa Police Investigation Agency mobilized forces to the scene to investigate and arrest the suspect.

Knowing he could not escape, Le Huu Thuan brought the murder weapon to the police station to surrender.

The case is currently under investigation by the police.
