Bus driver playing games while driving has been suspended from work

(Dan Tri) - The owner of a bus company in Ha Tinh decided to temporarily suspend the male driver who was found playing video games while driving. The police have also intervened and worked with this driver.

On the morning of March 21, Mr. D.MH, the owner of a bus company headquartered in Huong Son district (Ha Tinh), confirmed that the male driver was playing games on his phone while driving a passenger car belonging to this company.

Accordingly, this driver's name is PAĐ. (from Son Tay commune, Huong Son district). After discovering the incident, the bus company temporarily suspended this driver.

The bus owner said that all vehicles of this company running on the route from Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) to Hanoi and vice versa are equipped with dash cams.

However, at that time, there were many vehicles moving at the same time and the driver left his phone on the central dashboard (located right under the steering wheel), so the garage could not observe everything to make adjustments.

The bus owner added that the traffic police have contacted the bus company and the driver to clarify the incident.

Regarding the incident, Mr. PVM (born in 1986, from Hai Phong city) confirmed that he was the person who filmed the clip of the driver playing games while driving. Mr. M. said that he had previously visited his friend's hometown in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province.

On March 17, Mr. M. booked a ticket with the above bus company to travel to Hanoi. This bus was a 22-room Limousine, picked up in Huong Son, and traveled along Highway 8 to Hanoi.

According to Mr. M., at the time the driver was playing games while driving, the car was almost full of passengers. At that time, 2 other people from the bus company also knew that the driver was playing games while driving, but no one reminded him.

For his part, Mr. M. said that because he was worried that the bus company would make things difficult for him if he complained directly, he chose to remain silent and used his phone to record the incident.

On March 20, Facebook circulated a clip and image of a male driver driving a bus while playing a game on his mobile phone.

The person who posted the clip said that this bus company runs the route from Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) to Hanoi and vice versa.

After watching the clip, many people expressed outrage at the driver’s behavior. Many people said that the driver was too subjective, disregarding the lives of himself and the passengers on the bus.

The leader of the Traffic Police Department of Ha Tinh Province Police said that the unit has grasped the information of the incident and is verifying to handle the bus driver who behaved as reported by the people.
