From early morning, people gathered at Quan Ho singing venues, the most crowded being at the water temple.

This is a typical folk song of the Red River Delta in Northern Vietnam, formed and developed in the ancient Kinh Bac cultural region, especially the border area of the two provinces of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh today.

Immediately, the woman on the boat used a large bouquet of flowers to receive money from visitors, without directly using her hands or a plate of betel. Many people consider this a form of "lucky money" for the new year for the Quan Ho troupe, usually in bills with denominations ranging from 10,000 VND to 100,000 VND.
