The Nam Cao extended route running through Da Son and Khanh Son neighborhoods (Hoa Khanh Nam ward, Lien Chieu district) is currently behind schedule, unfinished, muddy with many potholes, posing potential dangers to road users.

People on both sides of the road have to live in dusty sun, muddy rain, polluted environment, and unsafe traffic.

According to local people, this road has been under construction for many years but is still not completed, affecting the business and trade of households on both sides of the road.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, a resident on the road, said: “Every day I have to close my doors because of the dust. My children come home from school with mud on their clothes, and many people fall down trying to avoid potholes.”

The extended Nam Cao Street is part of the urgent strategic defense road project serving the military and people of Lien Chieu District, approved by the People's Committee of Da Nang City in October 2018 with a total investment of 116 billion VND.

The project is divided into two routes with a total length of 4.5km. Route 1 starts from the intersection of 7.5m road in Khanh Son 1 resettlement area, and ends at the intersection of 15m road in the new railway station planning area. Route 2 has its starting point (Km0+47.28) connecting with route 1, and its ending point (Km3+412.27) connecting with Hoang Van Thai street.

According to the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District, the Nam Cao extended route is part of the urgent strategic defense route project serving the military and people of Lien Chieu District in Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, invested by the Traffic Construction Investment Management Board.

To speed up site clearance, the District People's Committee assigned the District Clearance Board to coordinate with the Ward People's Committee and related units to continue reviewing, completing legal procedures, approving compensation values, increasing public reception, mobilizing 7 households to receive compensation money and hand over the site to the investor for project construction.
