Son Heung Min speaks emotionally about the Vietnam team

Witnessing the Vietnamese team being eliminated early in the 2023 Asian Cup, striker Son Heung Min shared some very emotional thoughts with coach Philippe Troussier's team.

"I want to thank Vietnamese fans for their support of the Korean team. I watched the Vietnamese team play. It's a pity the result wasn't as expected. But I was impressed with the Vietnamese team.

They did everything they could for the honor of the country. I always support the Vietnamese team. Good luck!", Son Heung Min shared after the Korean team drew 2-2 with Jordan.

Son Heung Min played a friendly match with the Korean team against the Vietnamese team in October 2023. That was a match that Korea won 6-0, in which Son Heung Min also contributed a goal for the Korean team.

In this match, the Tottenham striker acted very nicely when he explained to the referee that defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh of the Vietnamese team received an unjust red card, but the referee's decision remained the same.

In the match against Jordan on the evening of January 20, the Korean team, despite being considered much stronger, surprisingly let their opponent hold them to a 2-2 draw. Son Heung Min shined with a goal and an assist. In the final round of the group stage, the Korean team met Malaysia while Jordan played Bahrain.
