Exciting final round of Vietnam Children's competition

On the morning of June 29, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang attended the final round and awarded prizes for the contest "Vietnamese Children - Reaching out to the world" at the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House.

Vietnam Children's Playground - Reaching out to the world is an activity organized annually by the Central Council of Young Pioneers for students of 63 provinces and cities across the country to concretize the Project "Building a learning society in the period 2021 - 2030" and the Project "Improving foreign language skills and international integration for Vietnamese children and youth in the period 2022 - 2030" of the Prime Minister.

This year, the online qualifying round attracted more than 30,000 students. After the preliminary rounds, the 16 best teams from Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tien Giang, Can Tho, Kien Giang were selected to the final round.

The jury of the final round includes representatives of leaders of departments and units under the Central Youth Union, the Management Board of the National Foreign Language Project (Ministry of Education and Training) and the Department of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

In the final round, the teams decorated, presented in English and performed many lively acts to introduce the history, culture, cuisine, geography, tourism and the friendly and united relationship between Vietnam and countries around the world including the UK, India, Cambodia, Cuba, Germany, South Korea, the United States, Laos, South Africa, Japan, France, Spain, Thailand, China and Vietnam.

At the end of the final round, the team from Nguyen Thuong Hien Primary School (Hong Bang District, Hai Phong City) won first prize. The Organizing Committee also awarded 6 second prizes and 9 third prizes to the teams that made it to the final round.
