Mass cultural and artistic movement in Yen Khanh

In recent times, the mass cultural and artistic movement of Yen Khanh district has attracted a large number of people to participate, creating a healthy and joyful living space, contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values ​​of the nation.

Although it is a busy time to take care of the winter-spring rice crop, the village and hamlet art clubs of Khanh Tien commune still spend time every evening to practice.

Ms. Pham Thi Thuy, a member of the Arts Club of Hamlet 5 (Khanh Tien Commune) said: Through the arts performances, we hope to contribute to preserving and spreading the good traditional cultural values ​​of the nation, fostering love for the homeland and country, and at the same time encouraging and motivating people to join hands and unite to build the hamlet to meet the criteria of a model new rural area.

In Khanh Tien commune, the cultural and artistic movement has developed strongly, attracting the participation of many people from all walks of life. Comrade Tran Thi Thu Thuy, President of the Women's Union of Khanh Tien commune, said: The mass cultural and artistic movement in the commune is taking place vigorously. The hamlet cultural houses are where people practice and participate in cultural and artistic activities every evening.

Khanh Tien Commune currently has 10 art clubs managed by women's associations. The clubs operate regularly, participating in performances on anniversaries and major local holidays, contributing to building cultural life in residential areas and improving the spiritual life of the people.

The establishment and maintenance of clubs has created a "playground" for those who love cultural and artistic forms to participate. Some clubs regularly organize exchanges, invite artists and speakers to participate in discussions, art performances and teaching in localities and schools.

Teacher Bui Ngoc Duc, Principal of Khanh Cuong Secondary School, said: For many years, the school has included the art of Cheo in teaching and activities in the form of the school's art club; organized Cheo singing competitions for students of all grades to participate; regularly invited excellent artist Pham Ngoc Gioi, an artist living in Khanh Cuong commune, to the school to exchange and teach the art of Cheo singing to students.

Established over 3 years ago, the school’s art club has over 20 students who regularly practice, many of whom have participated in performances at competitions and festivals. The club meets twice a month, creating cohesion among members and contributing to preserving the cultural values ​​of the homeland.

Yen Khanh district is one of the localities with a vibrant mass arts movement. Comrade Bui Quang Buong, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Yen Khanh district, said: To promote the cultural and artistic movement, the Department of Culture and Information of the district has advised the District People's Committee to propagate, mobilize and encourage people to actively participate in building and developing the mass arts movement. Along with the State's support, the Department of Culture and Information has advised the District People's Committee to mobilize resources, promote socialization of investment in facilities and equipment for arts activities. Cultural houses are equipped with sound equipment for practicing and performing arts. Recently, Yen Khanh district has also decided to support clubs in purchasing costumes and props.

Up to now, 264/268 villages, hamlets and streets in the district have cultural houses, reaching a rate of 98.5%; over 90% of cultural houses in villages, hamlets and residential groups have installed sports training equipment. In the whole district, 100% of communes, towns and schools have sports training grounds; villages have volleyball clubs, folk dance clubs, many villages have table tennis clubs and traditional martial arts clubs. 19/19 communes and towns have stadiums to organize sports activities. The district center has a stadium equipped with outdoor sports equipment, a cultural house with over 550 seats to serve the district's political events and cultural and artistic activities attracting a large number of people to participate.

Every year, the district organizes training courses and professional guidance for cultural and artistic workers in communes, cultural and artistic cores in villages, hamlets, streets, agencies and units. Organizing many cultural and artistic activities on the occasion of holidays, Tet, and national and local events, creating a joyful, exciting and united atmosphere, while at the same time creating a playground and exchange for mass cultural and artistic activities to develop more and more widely.

Competitions and performances are regularly organized from the grassroots level with many rich topics. Units have built programs and works introducing the unique cultural features of each locality, expressed in the form of dramatization, meeting the enjoyment needs of the people. Yen Khanh district currently has 87 Cheo singing clubs, 2 folk drum dancing clubs, 2 Xam singing clubs and 2 sword dancing clubs, along with many other types of clubs that are developing strongly. The district has brought Cheo singing and Xam singing to school stages.

The mass art movement in Yen Khanh district is increasingly developing, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people, creating more solidarity and cohesion in the community.
