DTO - In March 2025, secondary schools, colleges, and vocational training institutions in the province will focus on counseling, career guidance, and enrollment. To facilitate access to information on career orientation for middle and high school students, schools will innovate counseling methods, organize many activities related to counseling, and attract student participation.
Students of Dong Thap Medical College participate in the Job Fair Program
In 2025, according to the plan, Dong Thap Medical College will enroll 1,000 students for the college level including the following majors: medical testing techniques, rehabilitation, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, traditional medicine. For the general practitioner major, the school enrolls students for the college and intermediate levels. The enrollment target is for junior high and high school students in and outside the province or training according to orders from units. Students who want to register to study at the school will follow the selection method of 1 of the following options (considering the average score of semester 1 or the entire school year of grade 12; the average score of the entire school year of grades 10, 11 and the average score of semester 1 of grade 12) including subject combinations according to the school's enrollment regulations.
Dong Thap Medical College has publicly announced the expected tuition fees, university transfer opportunities, and workplaces so that students wishing to enroll in the school have the necessary information before making a choice. In addition, Dong Thap Medical College organized a Job Fair at the school for students combined with direct counseling for high school students, with the participation of more than 500 grade 12 students from 12 high schools in the province. At the Job Fair, students were introduced by representatives of the Board of Directors, the Department of Business Relations - Employment, companies, and businesses about training majors, occupations, income, scholarships, preferential policies, support, and job opportunities in and outside the province and abroad.
On this occasion, the final year students of the school met with companies and businesses recruiting labor to directly discuss their aspirations and job search needs. To create a lively atmosphere, the Organizing Committee of the Job Fair invited students to visit classrooms, libraries, practice rooms at the faculties, and exchange culinary and cultural experiences with Laotian students studying at the school...
In 2025, Dong Thap Community College will coordinate with units to organize admission consultation for 21 college-level majors and 15 intermediate-level majors, with a training period of 2 - 2.5 years, and admission will be based on junior high school and high school graduates. Students who register to study at the school for intermediate level will be exempted from tuition fees. Students from policy families, poor and near-poor households will be considered for scholarships and access to credit support sources according to regulations. In addition, the school's Board of Directors also organizes direct consultation at junior high schools and high schools in the province; invites teachers and students from districts and cities to visit and learn about teaching and learning activities and job opportunities after graduation at the school.
To support junior high and high school students in accessing admission information from intermediate schools, colleges and universities in and outside the province, the Department of Education and Training continues to deploy and implement the Project "Career education and student orientation in general education for the period 2019 - 2025" in Dong Thap province.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training has coordinated with units to build specialized pages, columns, radio and television programs and organize extensive propaganda among the people about the work of streaming students after graduating from junior high school, counseling and career guidance; promote the role of highly skilled workers after vocational training according to the Project "Streamlining and career orientation in general education". At the same time, it has directed units to focus on propaganda for junior high school students during career guidance hours and extracurricular activities; propagate to parents about the work of streaming and career orientation in general education; coordinate with colleges and intermediate schools to organize Career Counseling and Orientation Days...
Up to now, the Department of Education and Training has coordinated with sectors and units to organize admission counseling to implement the Career Guidance - Admission Program for the 2024 - 2025 school year for 12th grade students in schools in districts and cities in the province with the participation of more than 6,000 students. With the support of the Department of Education and Training, the Board of Directors of secondary and high schools in the province has coordinated to invite colleges and universities in and outside the province to directly come to schools to advise and provide career guidance to students, helping them approach and choose careers that are suitable to their abilities and social needs.
