On the morning of October 2, the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the National Academy of Public Administration held an opening ceremony for 1,028 new students from provinces and cities across the country.
16 years ago, October 2 was chosen by the Prime Minister as "Vietnam Education Promotion Day". On this special day, the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the National Academy of Public Administration also held the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year.
In the 2024-2025 school year, the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the National Academy of Public Administration welcomes more than 1,000 new students.
Dr. Truong Cong Hoa, Acting Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the National Academy of Public Administration, said that current students belong to the age group of Generation Z, also known as Gen Z.
"This is a generation that is "cooler" than the 8X generation, richer than the 9X generation and more confident in taking control of their lives, known as citizens of the digital age. To grow up, they must constantly adjust themselves and improve their skills to keep up with the times, to succeed. To achieve success, they must work to the best of their ability, determined to go all the way. Especially, they must always move forward" - Dr. Hoa advised.

The academy’s branch leaders emphasized that as long as students have real abilities, they will naturally be attractive to government agencies and businesses. Students must take both vocational training and moral cultivation seriously to become decent people, living with ideals and ambitions.
According to Dr. Hoa, people with full knowledge and skills, who can do everything well, but lack qualities, compassion, love for people, and sharing, will not truly succeed in life.
At the opening ceremony, Associate Professor - Dr. Trieu Van Cuong, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, assessed that in the past school year, the branch had many innovations, strong and comprehensive development, together with the whole country, effectively promoting the training and fostering of leaders and managers, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress... Besides training and enrollment, scientific research was also promoted by the branch.
Associate Professor - Dr. Trieu Van Cuong, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, sent a message to new students at the opening ceremony of the new school year.
The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs proposed a number of contents for the new school year as follows: Ensuring synchronization, effectiveness and balance between input and output factors of students; strongly innovating training and fostering work according to the motto "taking learners as the center, schools as the foundation, lecturers as the driving force"; strongly innovating training and fostering programs in a modern direction; focusing on developing a sufficient number of lecturers and improving their quality...
On this occasion, the branch also announced to support flood victims to overcome the consequences of typhoon Yagi with an amount of more than 400 million VND.
