To strengthen market control activities, Market Management Team No. 4 has focused on developing a plan to inspect price posting and selling at listed prices, inspect counterfeit, banned and poor quality goods in the area; strengthen the fight against smuggling and trade fraud, especially against smuggling of livestock, poultry, poultry products, seafood, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. At the same time, coordinate with functional sectors to promote the combined strength to effectively prevent smuggling, counterfeit goods and trade fraud in the area.
Through inspection, Market Management Team No. 4 discovered and handled many violations in the area regarding prohibited goods, smuggled goods, price listing... Typically: On December 18, Market Management Team No. 4 inspected the compliance with the law in trading goods for the Hong Phuc business household (Hung Vuong Street, Tran Phu Ward, Mong Cai City) owned by Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang. Through inspection at the business establishment, a number of goods were discovered without invoices, documents, and of unknown origin, including: 11 packages of Tieguanyin tea, weighing 250 grams/package; 8 packages of ginseng oolong tea, weighing 250 grams/package; 20 bottles of Satunburg wine, 750ml/bottle, 14.5% vol; 10 bottles of Chateau de Ravige wine, 750ml/bottle, 13.5% vol... The total value of the goods was 53.3 million VND. Market Management Team No. 4 has prepared documents, minutes, and submitted them to the competent authority to issue a Decision on administrative sanctions against the business household, with a total fine of 38 million VND.
On December 30, 2024, Market Management Team No. 4 inspected the compliance with the law in trading goods of the business household Xue Ming Dong, at Mong Cai Central Market (Tran Phu Ward) owned by Mr. Xue Ming Dong (Chinese nationality). Through the inspection, many counterfeit products were discovered and temporarily seized, including: 63 pairs of flip-flops with Nike trademarks showing signs of counterfeiting the Nike trademark, 20 pairs of flip-flops with Adidas trademarks showing signs of counterfeiting the Adidas trademark, the total value of the goods according to the actual listed price at the time of inspection was 49.8 million VND. The team coordinated with the representative of the trademark owner to verify and clarify the signs of counterfeiting the trademark; at the same time, prepared a report and submitted it to the competent authority to issue a decision to impose an administrative fine of 45 million VND.
Since the beginning of 2024, Market Management Team No. 4 has presided over and coordinated the handling of 46 cases/67 violations of counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, business registration, fined over 1.7 billion VND; value of destroyed goods, forced destruction over 2.3 billion VND; value of auctioned goods over 766 million VND. The main goods are pod machines, essential oils for pod machines; electronic cigarettes, tea sets, gas stoves, motorbike spare parts, watches, sausages, cakes, candies, radishes of unknown origin; clothes, shoes, handbags, fake branded perfumes; backup batteries of all kinds; tea boxes of all kinds, nail polish...
Since the beginning of the year, the Team has also inspected 131 cases, received and handed over documents of 2 cases, handled 113 cases/113 subjects/143 violations, equal to 93.4% of the number of cases handled; the total amount of fines is nearly 6 billion VND, equal to 210.8% compared to the same period in 2023. The main violations are prohibited goods, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods violating intellectual property, price listing...
Particularly for inspection and handling related to N2O gas, shisha, electronic cigarettes, Market Management Team No. 4 inspected and detected 11 cases, fined 176 million VND, value of destroyed goods 222 million VND; violating goods 16 laughing gas cylinders; 6,494 electronic cigarette products (pod machines, essential oils for pod machines, accessory boxes, pod machine suction heads); 8.8 kg and 18 boxes of Shisha; 9,900 rubber balloons. At the same time, handling related to trading goods and services via social networks, online sales websites, e-commerce trading floors 18 cases/23 acts, reaching 100% of the assigned plan, fined 338.5 million VND, value of auctioned goods 62.2 million VND, value of destroyed goods 241 million VND.
Mr. Pham Tien Hung, Captain of Market Management Team No. 4, said: Before, during and after the Lunar New Year, Market Management Team No. 4 continues to strengthen coordination with the police, customs, border guards, forest rangers, and health workers in exchanging information, implementing plans to prevent, arrest, and handle smuggled goods; stepping up propaganda, fighting, and preventing smuggling, counterfeit goods, trade fraud, food safety, and disease prevention in the area. In particular, focusing on checking prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, intellectual property violations, confectionery, food, firecrackers, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, etc., not allowing the formation of hot spots and complex gathering places for smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the area.
