Shopee officially applies a joint inspection policy for orders placed from 0:00 on May 19, 2023, nationwide, completing its commitment to providing users with safe and reliable shopping experiences.
Customers can ask delivery staff for instructions and support for joint inspection. |
Joint inspection of goods in e-commerce is a term that refers to the goods being checked by the delivery staff and the customer. When shopping online, the joint inspection policy plays an important role, minimizing the situation of receiving products that are different from the description and wasting time on returns just because the goods cannot be checked or viewed.
Shopee jointly emphasizes “clear” and “safe” criteria through its terms and implementation, ensuring fairness for buyers, sellers and delivery staff.
Accordingly, Shopee joint inspection applies to orders that display the information "Co-inspected" in the "Order information" section on the Shopee application after placing the order. Buyers are allowed to check the appearance of the product, ensuring that the quantity and color are consistent with the description. If the joint inspection results in an incorrect product or shows signs of damage, the buyer has the right to refuse to receive the goods.
Jointly inspected orders will have a note "Jointly inspected" in the delivery instructions. |
In addition, the buyer can also request the shipping unit to guide the joint inspection process and provide necessary tools such as scissors, paper cutters, etc. to conduct the joint inspection. At the same time, the shipping unit will be allowed to take photos or record the entire joint inspection process to save evidence for handling in case of complaints later.
To ensure the rights of all parties, the buyer must maintain the integrity of the product during the joint inspection process, not dropping, breaking, damaging, scratching, or staining the product. Shopee Joint Inspection also requires the buyer not to tear, not to open the manufacturer's seal, not to open the anti-counterfeit stamp or tear the stamp or delivery information sheet of the product and not to try the product. In the case of returning the product after joint inspection, the buyer must return all products in the order along with all packaging, accessories, accompanying documents, especially the shockproof layer to ensure the integrity of the product when returning it to the seller.
On the contrary, the buyer's joint inspection activities will encourage the seller to improve the steps of checking the quality of input goods, preserve products properly and optimize customer care and after-sales services.
Cases where Shopee joint inspection is not applicable: Shopee joint inspection policy will not apply to some specific product categories and products. Specifically, orders with products in the following groups: Vouchers & Services; Fresh and frozen foods; Milk - Eggs (cream powder, animal & vegetable butter, cheese & cheese powder, cream, eggs, tofu; ornamental plants, cars). In addition, joint inspection also does not apply to orders with a value greater than 3 million VND (price after promotion, excluding Seller Voucher, Shopee voucher, Shopee coins and shipping fee). In particular, this policy does not apply to orders shipped by Viettel Post, VN Post, VN Post Savings, Seller self-delivery channel, or express channel...
