Bustling fair
The fair has become an annual event, bearing the brand of the Provincial Farmers' Association (FAA) in creating a bridge for localities, units, enterprises, cooperatives, OCOP product owners, and good farming and business households in and outside the province to have the opportunity to meet, exchange experiences, expand markets, and promote trade...
The organizers said that there are 150 booths of Quang Nam province and HND of some provinces and cities with more than 400 products of all kinds participating in the exhibition and promotion at this fair. Most of the typical and typical products of each locality are present.
Visiting the Caromi Cassava Noodle stall of HND Que Son district, Ms. Ha - a consumer in Tam Ky city, after carefully reading the information on the packaging, chose to buy a few products for use.
“The fair sells many typical local products. Many products are packaged, designed with eye-catching packaging, with full information about origin and expiration date, so I feel very secure,” Ms. Ha shared.
Coming to the fair, Ms. Vo Thi Phuong (stall owner) brought fish sauce and shrimp paste products that meet 3-4 star OCOP standards of Ong Trinh brand (Duy Hai commune, Duy Xuyen).
Ms. Phuong shared that the agent’s products sold very well at the fair, reaching an average revenue of about 10 million VND/day. Every day, the agent had to increase the quantity of goods to Tam Ky to serve customers.
“Many customers are familiar with our products, so they come to support us every time we have a fair; some even buy a whole case of fish sauce for their own use.
I see that essential goods sell very well at the fair, partly because of the favorable weather, partly because people increasingly love to use quality products at affordable prices" - Ms. Phuong said.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Vy (Tien Phuoc District Farmers' Association) said that the provincial Farmers' Association had organized the fair thoughtfully and created conditions for entities and units to participate in booths. For example, Tien Phuoc District, initially planned to have 5-6 booths but the organizing committee arranged 9 booths for the district.
"Through many times of organizing the Fair to display and promote agricultural products of the province, not only people and customers but also entities are looking forward to promoting and advertising products to consumers" - Mr. Vy said.
Ms. Le Thi Minh Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association said that through organizing the Fair to display and promote agricultural products of the province, the Provincial Farmers' Association hopes that this is not only an opportunity to display, introduce and trade products but also contributes to changing people's thinking and actions from agricultural production to agricultural economy, ensuring quality, efficiency and high economic value of products.
Promoting the role of midwife
Quang Nam is one of the localities in the country with many OCOP products with more than 400 products recognized up to now. Of which, there are 346 3-star products, 61 4-star products and thousands of rural industrial products, regional and regional specialties and other safe agricultural products.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu, up to now, although many products have appeared on the shelves of major domestic distribution systems and participated in e-commerce trading floors; however, that number is still limited compared to the potential of local rural industrial products. Therefore, finding, supporting, and connecting supply and demand for products is an issue that provincial leaders always pay attention to.
Evaluating the provincial Farmers' Association's organization of fairs and related events, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association Dinh Khac Dinh suggested that the provincial Farmers' Association continue to advise provincial leaders so that the Fair to introduce and promote products is held annually and carries the "brand" of farmers.
At the same time, actively guide participation in building and promoting collective economic development, propagate, mobilize, guide the establishment of cooperatives and build and develop models and linkage chains in agricultural production and business.

Also from August 8 to 12, more than 250 association officials and farmer members of the Farmers' Association of 17 districts, towns and cities participated in the Competition for Excellent Association Officials. The competition was held on the nights of the fair, at the 24/3 Square. The combination of the fair and the competition is considered a creative effort in the organization of the Provincial Farmers' Association.
Thereby, helping the association's cadres, especially the grassroots cadres, to raise awareness of policies, mechanisms, and issues related to agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. This is also an opportunity for association's cadres to study and demonstrate their skills and methods in performing association tasks.
