Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh said that the Announcement Ceremony of the Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is an important event for the city's development in the coming time, ensuring the successful completion of the Resolution of the 22nd City Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress.
The Da Nang planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, is built in a unified and synchronous manner with the socio-economic development strategy of the whole country, the national strategy on green growth and sustainable development; scientifically integrated and linked with Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated November 3, 2022 of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the North Central and Central Coast regions to 2030, with a vision to 2045; at the same time, fully and creatively applying the viewpoints and development orientations of Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2019 of the Politburo on building and developing Da Nang city to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
“This is an extremely important legal basis, creating a solid corridor for the sustainable development of the city in the new period; it is the foundation to continue exploiting and promoting the potential and strengths of the locality, ensuring the completion of growth targets in the right direction and achieving the highest efficiency in the shortest time.” - Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said.
According to the approved Plan, the goal by 2030 is to build Da Nang City into one of the major socio-economic centers of the country and Southeast Asia, with the role of a center for startups, innovation, tourism, trade, finance, logistics, high-tech industry, information technology, supporting industry, etc.
Vision to 2050, build Da Nang City into a large, ecological, smart, unique, sustainable, international-level urban area, playing the role of a hub connecting and developing with the regional and international urban network; an international tourism center associated with an international event organization center; a high-tech industrial and information technology center; a startup and innovation center; a regional-scale international financial center and a livable coastal city reaching the Asian regional level.
Unleash the powerful force to achieve miracles
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that Da Nang is the first of the five centrally-run cities to have its provincial planning approved by the Prime Minister. This is an important event for the city’s Party Committee, government, army and people.
The Da Nang City Master Plan announced today was built with a breakthrough mindset and long-term vision based on distinct potential, outstanding opportunities and competitive advantages; concretizing the policy of the Politburo in Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2019, expressing the aspiration of the people of Da Nang for a livable city, a major socio-economic center of the country and the Southeast Asian region.
The planning will open up new opportunities and development space for Da Nang city; it is expected to create new momentum for Da Nang to continue to create a second miracle in socio-economic development. Da Nang is not only a livable city but also a city worth investing, contributing to, and experiencing.
To achieve this goal and ambition, the Deputy Prime Minister requested Da Nang to urgently develop an implementation roadmap and identify key content, progress and resources to implement programs and projects in the Plan. At the same time, publicly and widely announce the plans, promote and advertise to attract social resources; especially for the People to exercise their right to supervise the implementation of the plans.
The Deputy Prime Minister also suggested that Da Nang needs to research, perfect, and create breakthrough policy mechanisms; focus on administrative reform, develop e-government, and smart cities. Issue green standards, investment capital rates, and technology in attracting investment to accelerate the process of transforming the growth model in depth based on digital economy, green economy, circular economy, and increased labor productivity.
Concentrate training and developing human resources, attracting talents, promoting innovation, creativity, research, and application of science and technology, considering this a breakthrough driving force. In particular, focusing on industries such as tourism, processing industry, manufacturing, semiconductors, digital human resources, logistics services, and seaports.
Sustainable development of the marine economy on the basis of green growth, effective and sustainable exploitation of marine resources; promoting investment in the conservation and development of biodiversity values, restoring marine ecosystems; protecting the integrity of the ecosystem.

Within the framework of the Announcement Ceremony, the leaders of Da Nang City awarded the Investment Registration Certificate and Decision on Investment Policy Approval to 7 projects, including a project with domestic investment capital (1 project with increased investment capital) and 1 project with foreign investment capital that has just been licensed in the past in the city 6 with a total investment capital of more than 9.3 trillion VND.
