On October 10, the Department of Information and Communications coordinated with Quang Nam Radio and Television Station to organize the final round of the contest to learn about administrative reform (AR) and digital transformation (DT) in Quang Nam in 2024.

This is the second consecutive year the program has been organized and Quang Nam is the pioneer in organizing the contest on administrative reform and digital transformation on television to widely promote it to the whole society.

Notably, unlike 2023, this year's contestants are 113 members of the Community Digital Technology Team from 17 districts, towns, and cities in Quang Nam.

Mr. Pham Hong Quang, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Quang Nam, said that digital transformation is an inevitable trend in the current period. In recent years, the locality has always focused on administrative reform and digital transformation, identifying this as a breakthrough for the socio-economic development of the province.

Quang Nam is also determined to put the province in the top of the country in implementing digital transformation. Therefore, it is necessary to diversify the forms of propaganda, so that people can access digital transformation in an easy-to-understand, quick and most effective way.

According to the Director of the Department of Information and Communications, Quang Nam currently has 1,218 Community Digital Technology Teams with more than 7,000 members, which are the core force mobilizing the strength of the entire people, staying close to the people and being an extended arm of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation from the province to the grassroots level.

The participation of the Digital Technology Team with the motto of going to every alley, knocking on every door to convey knowledge about administrative reform and digital transformation has contributed to the overall success of the administrative reform and digital transformation of the province.

“Through the contest, we hope to contribute to equipping more skills and knowledge for this force to further promote propaganda work at the grassroots level. We also hope to spread this contest to the entire community of 63 provinces and cities nationwide to contribute to the success of building digital citizens and digital society in Vietnam,” said Mr. Pham Hong Quang.

Launched on September 16 with 6 qualifying rounds and 2 semi-final rounds, the contest has truly been an intellectual, healthy and useful playground to help cadres, civil servants and public employees from the province to the grassroots level master the skills as well as the roadmap for administrative reform and digital transformation, contributing to the formation of a digital society, linked with ensuring information safety and security for users.

The program consists of 4 main competitions: Greeting, Digital Creativity, Digital Skills, Digital Acceleration. In addition, there is a secondary competition for the audience.

After nearly a month of intense competition, three teams from Dai Loc, Nam Tra My and Que Son districts have won the right to participate in the final round of the year held on the occasion of Vietnam Digital Transformation Day (October 10).

The final round of the competition was extremely intense, the teams tried their best to gain points through each round, especially in the two decisive rounds including Digital Knowledge and Digital Acceleration. After the Digital Knowledge round, the scores of the 3 teams Nam Tra My, Dai Loc, Que Son were 198 - 187 - 157 respectively.

In the Digital Acceleration round, the deciding round, with solidarity, experience and acumen, Dai Loc team won 90 points, while Nam Tra My team won 75 points and Que Son got 55 points.

In the end, Dai Loc team "finished" with 277 points, 5 points more than the second place team Nam Tra My, Que Son team got 212 points. Thereby, Dai Loc team excellently won the 2024 Administrative Reform and Digital Transformation Competition with a prize of 8 million VND, Nam Tra My came in second with a prize of 5.5 million VND and Que Son came in third with a prize of 4 million VND.

Delighted with the victory of her team, Ms. Luong Thi Danh (Dai Loc team) shared: “The competition is very meaningful and helps a lot in daily work. From the competition, 17 teams have had the opportunity to exchange and learn from each other, thereby contributing to making the administrative reform and digital transformation work of each locality in particular and Quang Nam in general increasingly rich, diverse and more influential”.
