Quang Nam is about to bring many unique 'specialties' to Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of July 2, in Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province coordinated with the Quang Nam Association in Ho Chi Minh City to hold a press conference to provide information related to the organization of investment promotion activities, trade, services, culture, cuisine, startup development and the Quang Nam festival program in Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.

At the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Lai, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Quang Nam province, said that the program to promote investment, trade, services, culture, cuisine, start-up development and the Quang Nam festival in Ho Chi Minh City in 2024 will take place from July 18 to July 21 at the Cultural - Sports Center of Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City.

Within the framework of the festival, there will be 8 activities including: investment promotion workshop on Quang Nam; national startup forum "connecting Quang Nam startup ecosystem in the South"; 2nd startup festival in Ho Chi Minh City - 2024; activities to support Quang Nam compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces to issue and renew driver's licenses, issue and renew ID cards, register level 2 identification codes for Quang Nam compatriots far from home (results returned on the same day); display and introduce typical products of Quang Nam; organize traditional meetings of Quang Nam compatriots; organize a culinary cultural area to introduce Quang Nam specialties...

According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Sinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Nam province, the Quang Nam fellow countrymen festival is an event to connect, promote, and promote trade, culture, and cuisine; develop and connect Quang Nam startups in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces. From there, it opens up opportunities for exporting and trading products; supports, consults, and trains the development of startup ideas, projects, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products; and strengthens the connection between businesses and investors with representatives of the Quang Nam provincial government.

Along with that, preserving and promoting the historical and cultural traditions of the homeland, building the people of Quang Nam, especially the Quang Nam people living and working far away from home all over the country.

In 2024, the Quang Nam Association will be upgraded to a festival and will be held annually.

Accordingly, it is expected that nearly 90 enterprises of Quang Nam province will participate in displaying products at the festival. One of the highlights of the festival is the performance and introduction of Quang Nam folk art and culture such as singing Bai Choi, reenacting the gong festival of Tra My people, folk games, street music; organizing a culinary culture area to introduce Quang Nam specialties such as Quang noodles, Cao Lau, roasted veal, cassava pho...

According to Mr. Mai Phuc, previously, in the Quang Nam fellow countrymen festival in Ho Chi Minh City in 2023, more than 100,000 people participated.
