The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the Ambassador's role and contributions to the development of the Vietnam - US relationship in recent times, especially the two countries' decision to upgrade bilateral relations to the level of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in September 2023, and hoped that the Ambassador would continue to pay attention to promoting this good cooperative relationship. Assessing that the relationship between the two countries has never been as good as it is now, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the two sides increase contacts and delegation exchanges to further deepen cooperation in various fields between the two countries in the coming time. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang suggested that the two sides closely coordinate in planning activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of normalization of relations and 80 years of Vietnam - US cooperation. The Deputy Prime Minister also suggested that the US side soon recognize Vietnam's Market Economy Status; support Vietnam in realizing its development goals by 2045 as well as international goals and commitments in the field of green transformation and climate change response; increase resources to support Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of war... The US Ambassador emphasized that in the past 9 months, the two countries have achieved many achievements in implementing bilateral commitments as well as the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, in which the semiconductor and high-tech sectors have made a rapid start.
